I personally (and the missus agreed, which in itself is a miracle) that the final episode was a real let down after what was, up until then, a top notch drama that we'd really been enjoying. I hated the ending myself, felt the conclusion to the main story was a bit of a cop out and made no sense, and I didn't think they needed to do that with his character right at the end either, for me it took a lot of the shine off what otherwise was a cracking series.

Great acting and some good twists and turns along the way, I just didn't like the way it finished, be interested to see what you thought of it.

I thought it was a good episode. There was still a few twists, even though it looked pretty wrapped up. I kind of agree with you. I'm not really sure what the point in doing that was. It's not conclusive either way anyway, there's no way from what was shown, that confirms or dismisses what happened.

On the whole, a cracking series, every episode was class. I did guess a fair few twists (which always happens) but there were still enough I didn't see coming, to make it exciting throughout. It was a strange idea to finish on that scene though.

The Bridge Season 3 done! Unbelievable! The standard never drops! So dark, gripping, thrilling, the twists, the revelations, the writing, the characters. The shots, the music, the settings. Everything about this show is just stunning. Top 3 of my all time favorite shows.

    I have a website.

Like the other 2 season, I literally cant stop watching once I started. Watched the whole season in 3 days. It just consumes me! One finishes and I need to start another as long as I have time, I get up, and if I have time before work I'll try and squeeze one in. Incredible TV.

Just seen another trailer. I kinda thought it sounded a stupid premise, but with the reviews and hype, will still watch it. Then I see the trailer of them finding footage, that contradicts events......

Does that make it good? Or really stupid?

I could get my head around "lets go back, and the Nazis won the war", but then they are trying to make a conspiracy story?? I might have misread the trailer. But I'm not sure if I want to start that. The idea sounds like it was made up by someone in Primary School.

It's based on a book by Phillip K Dick, another of his books was used for Bladerunner? I read the book after watching the tv series, and the adaption is almost better. Tells it in a slightly better style I think.

So to try and introduce it, its set in 60's America but the Nazis have won world war 2, and the USA is occupied. So you see a vision of what America would be like in that scenario, with all the atrocities that entails.

Naturally Nazi occupation means a resistance effort, and from somewhere has appeared these tapes of an alternative version of history. So the tapes show clips of real life history, which don't make any sense to any of them. It's thought those tapes would be powerful propaganda, and the resistance want to so something with them.

Right, I saw all that, and thought...Sounds a bit crap, but might be interesting...

...What about the bit in the trailer when they see film footage of The Nazis losing the war?!

Well that's kind of the point, where have those films come from when they don't reflect the world they live in?

Even if you completely ignore the plot of the films, an American SS, the resistance, etc make decent viewing.

Fear The Walking Dead, with the GF, half way through. Better than anticipated.

12 Monkeys, on my own, 3 episodes in. Pretty good too. Interesting to see how they develop it. Was a big fan of the film. The show hasn't disgraced it so far.

Having missed the first night of The Bridge we will be investing in the DVD along with our other Nordic collection of Borgen and the Killing plus a couple of superb films, namelt The Hunt and A Hijacking. It is a wonderful genre. The one thing I will miss about the Bridge third series is the interplay between the two main characters, that was a great chemistry and I will be interested to see how the latest series works out without Martin.

I was really surprised. It works really well. I was worried about the Lack of Martin, but you don't miss him.

I am staggered FML but I take you at your word and certainly look forward to seeing it (probably early next year I guess)
Good to see that HIGNFY continues to shine, David Mitchell is one of the best hosts along with Alexander Armsrong IMO.

The Bridge is wonderful, just watched the last episode of the third season (thanks FML)

Much as I liked Martin, the new sidekick is equal, if not better. Awesome stuff.

As I may have said before, fans of the Scandiwegian genre should also check out 'Arne Dahl' Wonderful.

Thanks gandy, I will investigate that. What would be our favourite Scandi series? If we could have a minor poll my vote would probabl go to Borgen by a whisker with series 1 and 2 being the creme de la creme along with Bridge 1.

    You're welcome mate :)

It's strange isn't it, the new sidekick is brilliant. Wasn't sure about him first episode or 2, but he develops wonderfully.

What's Borgen like? Not seen that, Just IMDbed it, gets 8.5, but the synopsis doesn't make it sound too appealing?
