Gone crazy, so on the Betfair prediction I have gone for: 2-0 win Southampton, first goal Ryan Bertrand after 15 mins. <diva>

Hopefully it'll be around now that the flip side of the Pardew effect comes into play, and his catastrophic ego means they'll become a bit rubbish.

    Betfair implied odds:

    36% C Palace win
    34% Saints win
    30% Draw

    Most likely score 1-1

Those are the most evenly spread odds I've seen so far.

So, it's definitely one we can win, draw or lose.

I disregard all your posts anyway. In fact I'll now put you on my ignore list after that useless comment. Bye bye.

You post some good stuff but again you do your usual trick of annoying everyone when you disregard someone else's opinion so disdainfully.

Edit: Reading back, Archer's Road is equally guilty in this case.

I feel left out now; can I go on your ignore list? Please? PLEASE?

    Vin

PS. If you put us ALL on your ignore list you'll never have to take anyone else's stupid, illogical and unreasonable opinions into account ever again.

I would play in the same formation, only I would select JWP or Clasie instead of Romeu.

One of the reasons why Koeman selects Yoshida is presumably because Mane, when played on the right as usual, doesn't track back enough, so he likes to have a more defensive minded option on the right back. A simple solution is to have Davis playing on the right midfield, and Mane behind a striker. It's not something unseen of, we've played that way in the beginning of this calendar year and we have enjoyed a very good run. Davis is flexible, he can go more wide, or tuck in more, depending on the situation, and he will track back his player.

Talking about people ignoring others, the woman at the Job Centre said to me, "You're always late, you ignore the queue of people and you are rude to everyone."

    I said, "What's your point?"

She said, "Have you ever thought of becoming a bus driver?"

Romeu should play for me, as he scored last time out. He'll be full of confidence and personally I think we need two proper DM's based on our recent form anyway. I'd prefer JWP over Clasie based on Clasie's recent performances.

It surprises me Davis doesn't play on the right more. It gives the right back better protection and it frees up Mane. I think Mane's most dangerous, and effective, when he's central. You basically get two positives from playing Davis on the right and no negatives. One might even argue that Davis is better going forward from the right. In which case you'd have three positives and no negatives.

Yes. Crystal Palace away last season, as it happens. Toby, Yoshida and Gardos, flanked by Clyne and Bertrand. Mane through the middle, attacking their CBs direct. (I'd say it was the game when Mane's Saints career really took off).

But that was a Crystal Palace side under Neil Warnock. This is a Crystal Palace side under Alan Pardew.

Tough game again today. Important for us to take our chances when they come today. Feel more confident when we are away though.

Hopefully the on-form Pelle turns up today.

Article stating that we have failed to address our over-reliance on Pelle...you think? They have overlooked the fact that we had JRod back and could reasonably have thought he would help out. Now we know that Jay is iffy in the sicknote department, I agree we need to get another striker....hard to do in January though. Can just imagine the answer if you go to another team mid-season and ask if they have a spare ace striker.
