watched ant man last night thought it was quite good, cannot wait for star wars force awakens and also batman vs superman, suicide squad and the new gardians of the galaxy 1st one was ace, tried watching flash and it was just way to cheese for my taste tbh, is arrow worth a watch? not really a super hero im familiar with tbh, he shoots arrows? wow sounds amazing :D

Arrow is abit darker than Flash, mainly cause its less super powered story lines, tends to be more supernatural power bad guys. Arrow is more akin to Batman, than say Superman, vigilante hero rather than superhero.
As for powers, think Hawkeye (Avengers) crossed with Batman. An archer with Martial arts.

Woken up at silly o'clock on a saturday morning while the rest of the family are fast asleep. Just noticed Ray Harryhausen special is on BBC2 at 8.25am. Result. Do myself a nice fry up and settle down for that.

I'm disgusted by that response! <grr> Firstly stop. Turn around and go home. Then spend the next half hour googling him!

The orginal stop motion animation king. The way he worked was amazing consdering the special fx at the time. Did the original Clash of the Titans etc. Star Wars took on his methods. Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro are on this documentary as well. OK you don't need to google anymore <laugh>

If your really into WW2, you should watch a film called Conspiracy, with Kenneth Branagh. Utterly Brilliant.

Jason and the Argonauts but not the original King Kong. In fact it was KK that influenced him to go into the profession. The documentary was excellent. It wasn't just stop motion, the guy invented how to merge real life, live action and background scenery with stop motion special effects.

Interviews with Spielberg, Robert Zemeckis, Peter Jackson, Del Toro and a bunch of special affects guys including Star Wars who all talked about his influence on them. But also little scenes from their films which were a little nod to scenes from Harryhausen films. Spielberg invited him to the production stage of the original Jurassic Park film to show how they had progressed his work with CGI.

I know who he is, I have even have a book on his work. When I was younger I was very into making models and loved stop motion because I had seen films that had used his work.

    Jason and the Argonauts
    Clash of the Titans
    The Sinbad films
    One Million years BC

All memorable because of his work.
