"I was disappointed with the decision making by Son" As were others at times (I accused him of Townsenditus) .
I think he's just desperate to score. A bit like Kane early on this season who was hitting anything spherical goal wards as soon as he got it. I think it's normal for a young, expensive signing who exploded onto the scene with 3 goals in 2 games then picked up a terribly timed injury. He's probably a bit jittery at the moment and that goal will settle his nerves and give him the focus necessary in the decision making you refer to. One thing's for sure though - him and Clinton in full flight is true eye candy.
The names of the teams we play are getting weirder FC Midtjylland ? ? Can't even begin to pronounce it but sounds like Liverpool's opponents perhaps? I'm thinking Ken Dodd and Diddyland.
Yeah, I said that when we signed him. He always thinks he can score. It leads to some wonderful goals but a lot of wasted possession too.
Knocked out Southampton before the group stage and then managed to qualify from a reasonably tough group. They must be reasonably decent, I'd have thought. Probably not up there with some of the other names in the competition, though.
Son has three goals and five assists in less than 8 games' worth of minutes. A player who averages a goal or assist per game is f*cking useful. I agree Son has a talent for the conspicuous gaffe, but it's worth turning a blind eye to, I think, as long as he both keeps creating goals and keeps working hard.
Another really enjoyable game this season, again the whole team played really well and Monaco just didn't really have an answer barring 15 minute spell in which El Shaarawy grabbed a good consolation for them. Carroll and Onomah really stood out for me, I know Lamela got the hattrick and that's superb but the two academy graduates really bossed the game, Onomah lived up to his "possibly the best talent to come through at Spurs in a while" tag and to see Tommy Carroll control the play from the centre and grab a first goal for the club that Messi would've been proud of was great. Thought N'Jie was really lively too, unlucky not to score a couple of times and his work rate impressed me. Full backs were also great, especially Davies. Just about reaching the half way mark in the season and we've had some really enjoyable performances with scorelines to match, smashing teams like City, Bournemouth, Monaco, Qarabag, Villa and some small outfit from East London in their cup final.
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...otspur-term-revelation-changed-Argentine.html While the positive attention is nice, they ignored the fact he led us in assists last year and was a good starter overall to build the narrative. I was just thinking he still hadn’t found his scoring boot despite four goals this year before the Monaco game. 2 were so easy, and he still looked reluctant to shoot. Now I’m shocked he actually has scoring boots.
