He thinks after one win we are now back on track. What a plonker. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/spor...ve-mcclaren-insists-newcastle-united-10580659 I have no doubt that we will get beaten by Spurs this weekend, then he will be looking as stupid as he sounds.
The club should keep a dignified silence and wait for a few good back to back performances before speaking to the fan base IMHO. Actions speak louder than words..
But at the same time there are fans who will critisize the Club for not speaking to the fan base. Sometimes they are damned if they do and they are damned if they don't.
There's a difference mate. The Club can communicate on a normal level about day to day stuff at SJP (this is what we wanted)... but it doesn't have to put out a wall of 'positive intent' after one good performance. We've been here before don't forget. I'd rather the club said.. we've had one good result but that's nothing. We need 4-5 on the bounce and then we will have optimism.
Back on track....Steve, Steve, Steve......you would do well to remember that oft used phrase....'One swallow does not make a Summer.' We are the the obligatory footballing train crash. We may have beaten a poor Liverpool side, but make no mistake about it, Spurs will be an entirely different proposition. If they turn up and we don't [more than likely] we will be on the end of a thrashing and your 'back on track' optimism will more than likely resemble a train crash. Absolutely ****ing stupid comment to make considering it was one ****ing win.
I can see your point and do in fact agree with you. I'm just making the point that the Club are trying harder to communicate and won't get the level right every time so I'd rather they tried and weren't successful in keeping people happy rather than not trying at all.
It could be worse; we could have the captain's ghostwriter write something for the match day magazine. No, hang on, wait...
