Probably the player who has been the most missed.

Looks like a 5-5 formation given our underwhelming options up front.

We're light up front, midfield are going to have to chip in with the goals, pity Akpom didn't take his chance against Leeds it would have given him a shot in the arm.

    Diamé up front doesn't work
    Aluko isn't a striker
    Maloney isn't either

    Greg Luer anyone?

Most people I would think, whether that includes Steve Bruce is anyone's guess.

Given our lack of available strikers, he's got to consider lining up in a similar fashion to the Leicester game.

Now I know some of us keeping harking on about that one, but it bloody well worked.

It was a system that brought the best out of the players that are currently available.

    Gerrit done.

Bruce and Dawson doing the presser this morning.

In addition to Dawson being back, there's a chance that Meyler will also be involved (could even start).

Hernandez is not going to feature, but there's a chance Diomonde will be on the bench.

    A couple of surprises.

Hernandez should be back for the Reading game.

    Maloney's also back tomorrow.

Good news, bit surprised that Diomonde hasn't had a couple of run outs with the under 21's.

Play a striker in the striker position? Good god man you'll get locked up for that silly idea. No, I'm expecting square pegs in round holes again.

The weather conditions are going to be poor tomorrow afternoon, hope it doesn't turn the game into a lottery.

Please Brucey, please don't rush them back. We aren't that desperate that we want to risk them being out for even longer.

I'm sure he isn't rushing them back. If they play it's because they've recovered quickly.

Hope SB 100% sure regards the fitness of Dawson and Meyler, a crucial part of the seasons coming up and we need them 100% fit.

Steve Bruce: "With Meyler it's a little bit different. You can throw him out there and he'll gallop around. He's got a chance for tomorrow."
