Anyone tried it ? I was offered some Wodka by two shady looking Eastern Euros this morn and the bottles looked very real exept no exise stamp.
Hard as it is to believe they have to make it to some sort of quality otherwise people will know it is ****e and not buy it. Economic and market forces do apply to these boys as well. Im not saying it will be fantastic quality but they have to at least make sure it contains ethanol and not methanol so half the counth doesnt go blind.
I suspect that a fair few of them won't really give a monkey's toss about the welfare of their customers as they're likely to sell it in a certain place and then bugger off soemwhere else so as not to get caught. Once they've made their cash they'll leave the country. Anyone who buys it must be a bit mad really.
Of course they dont give a toss about their customers but if they blind or kill them all there will be noone left to buy off them again. In the interest of future sales they have to produce it to some measure of respectability
I think the problem is they are selling it to shops who are selling it on as the real product. Basically don't buy Glen's Vodka from your local corner shop (that'll cheer up Huth!) and you'll be fine
Huth wouldn't even notice, I don't think his brain works like normal people's. I did watch the Panorama (I think) on the fake baccy trade, I've smoked loads of it, not cool...
Very, very, very hit and miss. If you get a particualrly bad pack of ***s you know about it because you can't breathe for about 2 days. Mind the major companies are as bad as the cheapo versions of B&H etc. are rank as welll.
Think again, as someone who used to get some regularly enough for the student days in Belfast, the saving is a handsome one especially as the gov,t seem content on cranking up the duty on alcohol every week. The stuff some people make is actually of a good quality, but you need to know and trust where it is coming from.
Some of the efforts are so poor, like ****ed up printing and no seals....When I saw on the documentary that it was made in barrels in a tent in China I thought 'Never again!'. I've smoked some pouches of GV as a student that probably knocked 20 years old my life expectancy, but you live and learn
Why don't people just make their own at home? I make cider from apples growing at the side of a field near my home. I once left a batch for two years and it turned into calvados. It was great
Supermarkets have the best deals, no point in risking your sight/vital organs. A quick look on the internet or a cruise round a few shops and you'd get booze way cheaper
Where these guys Romanian by any chance? A guy I know used to fill a van up with clothes and tinned food in the mid 90s and drive it across Europe to Romania. Obviously there is no point driving an empty van back across Europe so he would fill it up with booze for the journey home. Wodka and stumpy beer bottles. The Wodka was brutal and would do your eyesight damage. Steer clear of that pish.
