I can't believe this WUM Al is still on these forums. Didn't everyone hate you at one time.

You were worse than any WUM on old 606

Forget all that, what about Pardew? I've seen a couple of pics of him kicking a ball about, sod Erdinc - Pardew is what, just short of 6 foot? He'd be a good build to have playing alongside Ba! I think he'd thrive in the player-manager role - he'd easily "rape" defences such as Bramble and co...

Tash is cool, leave him be

Well I remember you hated him for one.

Also I have always been supportive of Newcastle just I am very critical of certain, overrated players like Tiote that are only slightly betterthan the likes of Poulsen and offer little in creativity.

Yet as always I have been labelled a WUM.

Why does Tiote need to show 'creativity'? He's a defensive midfielder, not an attacking midfielder! He's a frigging brick wall man, that's his job! Leave all the creative **** to Cabaye and co.

  8. Tiote is a creative player. His passing is excellent, and his contribution helps us start attacks.

Huh? He's a defensive mid! Cabaye is the playmaker and Tiote is the one WHO breaks up attacks, but yeah to be honest his passing is very good but NOT Cabaye/Barton standard IMO.

Aye, Tiote may show sparks of creativity in his passing, but he doesn't need to. That ain't his job! Great when he does, but shouldn't be expected.

Think we can all agree he's got a cracking left foot on him though

  11. When did i say his passing was of Barton or Cabaye standard? I realize that. He's a defensive/holding midfielder, but he does show sparks of creativity. His passing is much better than good.

Just because it's not his job to be creative doesn't mean he can't do it. No he's not going to get many assists or create goal scoring opportunities, his passing helps us spread our play out, keep the ball, and he can play his part in a passing, attacking move.

His passing and technical ability is fantastic for DM.

Also, he has a powerful shot and can get them on target <ok> You can can't say he never attacks.

    Good article Tash.

We should definitely just hold on to him and let him leave on a free (try get him to sign a contract, depending how we do), I don't think he will put half arsed attempts in matches either, he will be playing to try keep himself in the eyes of the top clubs. If he plays awful then they will stop looking at him.

We don't really have grounds to ban him (yet). Unfortunately, they're just his opinions and everyone is entitled to theirs
Just a shame his are wrong

I'd tend to agree, even though he doesn't go forward a lot, he controls possession and the pace of play. Nobody takes the ball off his foot -- that was the first thing that struck me in his first appearances last year. Of course his aggressive tackling and overall brick walledness gained him his real plaudits, but it's his possession in the middle third of the park that I love so much.

    Bloody typical innit!?

You've made a good point HMT, most seem to agree with you. Rep and 5 stars where it's due, just make it a little less "wordy" next time!
