In all fairness, the football we have played has not been remotely entertaining to watch for quite some time. We had the occasional moan about it last season but the results were there so we didn't really have a leg to stand on. Our away game to you guys a classic example.
This season however, the dire performances have continued but the results have also dried up. He persisted on starting Bartley - who has been at fault for at least 1 goal in every game he has started - over Fernandez who has been no worse this season than any other player. He dropped a very on form Montero for no reason whatsoever, who then lost his confidence and has not been the same since. Cork hasn't even had a look in. Shelvey was scrapped from the 18 man squad for no particular reason. We bought a left back in the summer for 4m and he hasn't even been on the pitch yet despite our current left back being woefully off form. He continued to play Ayew on the right when he is clearly a central player, therefore killing our right side of the pitch. We haven't had a shot on goal away from home since October 24th.
Honestly I could go on, but you get the picture. He had to go and probably should have a few weeks back.

Monk's had a nightmare basically. So many questionable, strange, selection decisions and naive tactics.

Am afraid he is Tim Sherwood's slightly - and I mean slightly - more tactically-astute brother.

West Ham have an abysmal injury record, and it is always their most key players who go out first.

I'd say he was given a very generous amount of time to turn things around even slightly, though of course we don't know what kind of things he'd been told behind the scenes. May have been told months ago that they were looking for a replacement, which would explain some performances. However, can't be seen as kneejerk - he had a similar long slump last season, and they have proved that they have the tools to be a top six team with a bit of consistency. It's disappointing that they can't keep a level beyond the first month of the season, and the run-in, and means they're severely underperforming, and - in this case - in danger of relegation (tough think they're lucky that the standard below them is extra poor this year). If I was a Swansea fan, I would have wanted him out ages ago. This is a reasonable time to replace a manager - get a bump going before the crucial Christmas period, and be given long enough to turn things around. Quite sensible by Jenkins, I think. Just think they should have had someone lined up. Maybe they do?

I'd have kept him as well Vin, and made it entirely clear to everyone that he was going nowhere. But once Jenkins failed to commit a few weeks ago, it was curtains.

Article in Her Majesty's Times saying he wants to wait for the England job. @DeludedBrendan will still be in business.

Man United fans won't like Van Gaal's comments about them not necessarily being a top side because football has changed. I remember a United fan looking incredulously at me a few years ago when I said nothing is forever and that other teams might rise to challenge them. Van Gaal says he has to deal with the expectations of fans and the media. Good luck with that, mate. <laugh>

Bournemouth lead, and Boruc has already demonstrated the flying starfish with aplomb, followed by an insane fingertip save.
