If it is Poyet or Grant we are doomed, of the others mentioned I do like the idea of Bergkamp or Seedorf. I just hope Hj gets this right.

He didn't do cheap with Gomiss's contract? what a wast of money, sometimes cheap ends up costly as in Monk...............<ok>

Wouldn't be displeased with Grant , came in and quietly soothed Chelsea after Mourinho was sacked , something we could use right about now .
Did such a good job that I was surprised he wasn't given another season ....but it's the Russians money so I guess he calls the shots.

I still believe that it will not be one of the favourites and Hj has something up his sleeve. Well I hope so anyway.

Bergkamp is afraid of flying. He will be no good if we get into Europe!

If he keeps us in the PL I will take that. That wouldn't be an issue for at least one and a half seasons and I am sure there would be ways if we were ever to get into Europe again.

Portsmouth had 9 points deducted that season , but Grant took them to the FA final and lost narrowly against Chelsea .
Grant was under pressure from the get go with West Ham with threats of sacking and a team in despair all season , totally behind the 8 ball all season .
When Grant took over for Mourinho , he was in charge for 54 games and lost only 6 of them .Premier League games to Man United and Arsenal . A Champioship League game to Fenerbahce , which they moved on after beating them on the return leg . A loss to get knocked out of the FA cup . A loss in the League Cup final . A loss in the Champioship League final against Man U on penalties . 2 Cup finals and finished 2 points behind Man U in the League in 2nd place .
And they never gave him another season in charge , terrible decision by the Russian imo
Frankly we'd lucky to get him .

Roof, what he did at Chelsea is no recommendation for what is needed here, as at West Ham he would be under pressure from the get go here and would be managing a team in disarray and despair as well. The only other time he has been faced with the same sort of problems ( at West Ham)he failed miserably. It is a big no from me.

One thing he did was make every player important and take away the stigma of Mourinho's "Untouchables " and went about it quietly and unassuming , something we could use around the club .Look past what he did at Chelsea all you want , but I won't .
Within weeks of taking over at West Ham , pressure was put on him after "Big Sam " was sacked and West Ham wanted him brought in and the pressure never stopped .

I don't think you can compare the circumstances we are in with what he did at Chelsea our nearest comparison is West ham and unfortunately he failed. I respect you like the idea, but for me he would be near if not the bottom of our list, sorry no Tim Sherwood and Poyet would be below him.
