Christmas Tip Do not try wrapping presents if there is a 4 month old kitten around. You end up using more sellotape to repair all the rips. Not my best efforts!
I don't want him banned. Why on Earth would anyone NOT want him to come here? Whatever happened to Voltaire's maxim: "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it"? Surely the way to deal with this is to get him to spout his nonsense in front of a more critical audience than he's used to. Set Paxman onto him. Or me. Or anyone with a decent set of morals. Godders or Fran. Someone with British common sense. Banning him would just strengthen his credibility amongst the people who already support him. They need education and challenging, not world-view reinforcement. Vin
Christmas Tip No. 2 Keep presents in original bag* and just sellotape** over the end. This also negates the need to lose it with the kitten. * if purchased from a garage you often get a brown bag which is particularly good as it 'feels' crinkly and Christmassy ** other sticky tape brands are available
You have started something here whiteley, possibly deserves its own thread. From experience Christmas Tip No 3. When eating at friends over Christmas and you have been served up more sprouts that you can manage and you don't want to offend and leave any, do not sneak them into you suit jacket pocket and forget about them until you go to wear that suit again a few months later.
https://uk.sports.yahoo.com/news/fo...and-well-in-carlisle-goalmouth-164037178.html Three koi carp were found in one goal mouth at Brunton Park when water levels dropped. All well and been returned to owner.
and a salmon was found swimming in a Scottish golf course bunker. It was returned to the river. I know what I would have done with it! (tartar sauce)

I can't believe this was ten years ago today! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-beds-bucks-herts-34919922
I can't believe I forgot about it. I remembered it as I read, but it completely fell off my radar. There can't have been many mentions of it in the press since. Made me think about the Shoreham air crash...other things push memories down the chain. I suppose there are limits to what the brain can retain....sadly there are always newer catastrophes. Fighting the insurance company lawyers must have been traumatic, but mention of the man claiming for flowers he bought friends makes you realise what insurance companies have to look out for. Who would claim for that? If it's not a gift from you personally, it's not a gift. The attempt to limit the area of damage was plainly disgraceful and the insurance companies should have dealt quickly with the main claims...houses and basics. Truly sad how these people have suffered for so long and in silence (presumably a legal requirement).
His supporters probably wouldn't change their view on him, even if he is ripped apart, particularly in the U.S, people worship politicians as saviours and take whatever they say as gospel.
