I made that point back in 2013 when everyone was banging on about SAF's retirement lining up perfectly for Mourinho to take over at Utd.

Was utterly unconvinced he would want to go from the pressure cooker of Real to the pressure cooker of Utd with all the expectations that would come with him taking over from SAF. Much easier to head back to Chelsea with no expectations and where people would love him no matter how he played or what he won.

Tbh Mourinho would be under much more pressure than LVG if he was at Utd and pulling his current antics, even if he had us in fourth spot.

Tho' it does make me wonder if Mourinho is waiting for the fans to demand LVG's exit at Utd then he can get himself fired from Chelsea and come to Utd without the pressure and expectation of succeeding a top manager. The longer he waits, the shorter SAF's shadow gets...

Fair post. But pressure at United even following Saffa nothing compared to Real circus.

Thursday is the new Wednesday btw ;)

And we still have as much chance of winning it as they do

I don't think we should be sacking him now, as I think it's silly to sack mid season unless your in a full blown crisis. At the moment we aren't doing well, but we should still finish in the top 4 which means no long term damage will have been caused.

However I would seriously consider making a change in the summer if the right man becomes available. I think Pep Guardiola is our number 1 target, and by all accounts he wants to come to us. So I think we should wait til he becomes available before we sack LVG, wether it's this summer or next when his contract expires.

The thing that's been really dissapointing under LVG is the millions of pounds he's wasted on complete ****e. I mean of all his signings which ones would you say are actually proving to be a success so far?

We've spent millions and millions on players under him, and the only world class one we have in the squad is the goalkeeper, and he was already there before LVG came along:biggrin:

    Correct

    How's your thread going http://www.not606.com/threads/analysis-of-missing-chelsea-fans.317635/

Haven't seen many Liverpool fans since you posted it and lost to Newcastle

To be fair this board has been dead since the Wolfsburg game too.

A lot of 'northeners' hiding in one big cave!!

You have to admire the fact that people are prepared to have these debates after a defeat. The alternative is to hide away like a pussy. You know, like you do Deidre!

Well done finding the exit to your cave. Hopefully others will follow before the next 0-0 thriller

Some of us just have better things to do. Like solving the GCHQ Xmas code. Nearly an hour of careful deciphering to get the next link and now the bloody website won't open.

Still beats arguing about FFP as a procrastination device <ok>

You seemed to have a lot of time on your hands to make Chelsea threads before your defeat at Newcastle. Just a coincidence, you are busy after, I guess

There was more debate on here yesterday (the day after the game!) than there's been on the Chelsea website since it became obvious the decline was permanent (around mid-September). Doesn't matter how many pictures of match tickets you post, you've demonstrated that you're a Fair Weather Fanny!

    Wolfsburg match thread 14 pages.

    Bournemouth match thread 4 pages.

I guess all the people who thought the majority of Chelsea fans are glory hunters were right!

Of course nothing beats arguing about which board is the deadest.

Although I am loving the irony of London's having this debate on the Utd board, as the Chelsea board is so dead no one would notice <laugh>

There were lots of posts after the game and yesterday, less so today but then we haven't played for 2 days and don't play for another 2 days.

Clearly the fact that we didn't all go running to the hills like you do grates on you. The "Top Blue" front has taken a bit of a beating as you've proven yourself to only be interested when things are going well. Basically you are the type of fan you constantly criticise! All the stories about away games in the 80's are clearly fabricated.

The fact that you have to come on to the United board for a bit of company says it all!

I was thinking exact same for the Premier League board. Hopping into bed with every fan on there for a bit of company. No class, sadly.
