Just cant see him doing this, his arrogance do far and refusal of help wouldn't let him do it and his wife certainly wouldn't. There is only one way to sort this out and end Monks misery. There will be another club out there for him. Maybe Fulham are waiting for him.
Neither will step on their ego's to play "Second in command " , I think if Monk stays in charge , whoever comes in as his help will be payed with the money saved from Monks payout ...But it won'tbe a big name like Moyes or Rodgers.
Yes, I have a gut feeling that there will be a compromise, in order to keep him on the coaching staff, it will also mean that Huw can restructure his outstanding contract, of course he would have to agree to that, and I think he will, where else can he go? It's all down to Monk and his Mrs, I think they would prefer to stay at the club, he's just invested in a brand new shiny development project in Langland, and will be moving home there shortly, so I don't see him on the move.............
It's pointing in the direction that he'll remain in some coaching capacity , a new figurehead brought in to work alongside him to guide and develop him which is something that should have happened 18 month ago .Who ever it is will have to overcome the apathy of the players , Monks gripes at getting relieved of his duties, get us playing to some sort of acceptable standard and finally keep us up, Is that too much to ask
No change in the betting.I'm with valley and Matt on this one,Monk is staying.A N Other working alongside him to hopefully rectify the problems.
Edit........the more I look at it the more I think if HJ was going to sack him he would've done it Sunday morning. Could it be that we can't get the right man to replace him? Does HJ think GM can do the job and the players are the problem? My head is spinning,so many questions
It will be side on I reckon, Monk will be spooning some other geezer. Now the question is, will he be the spooner or the spoonee?
