Double denim. Not a good look nowadays BBP. Was Hodgsons just across the road, round the corner from the ABC cinemas? Spent a few quid in there myself There was a shop down Holmside, It was down past the old Odeon. I bought a pair of jeans there, Edwin's back in 85/86 for about £50! Made in Scotland! Best pair of jeans I ever bought! Still had them 10 years later!
Spot on with the location, BM. I remember the prices 'cos me mam took me to buy them,,, Double denim was good then, I wore the jacket non-stop for seven years! x
Thought it was. Wasn't there a Geordie Jeans round the corner? Never got a penny out of me, those bugger's! Wow, maybe I haven't got dementia just yet. Memories not too bad there!
There used to be a lass in Hodgsons had a either a bad/damaged eye and I used to fancy the pants off her. Used to spend a fortune in ther just to go in and see her. Used to see her around the town on the lash as well. Never ever asked her out.
Me mam worked as a machinist and they made the Jeans for Sgt Peppers. I had a couple of pairs of them zipped round back pocket jeans months before they came out in the shop. Used to get grief for wearing them but when they did come out well basically I was just a trendsetter.
Is that in a non gay way? I wouldnt know. I used to get all mine for nowt without even entering the shops
Back in the day GTAH i could fit into their small t shirts and I;m 6 foot 3................. Time machine please......... x
