We need a new striker, I rate Studge when fit he's class but we need someone to play every week. Buy someone in Studge then had to fight for a place when fit.

Such a shame and can't help but feel sorry for the lad.

Striker must be priority for January now. Go all out for Lacazette or Volland.

Is this kid made of Fibre glass?
    What the hell?!
Great player, but that means nothing if he is always sat on the bench with a cast on his leg.
You need a new striker......wanna buy Costa? :p

Good job we have benteke and of course the young and inexperienced but eager origi then.

Firmino too..... better further up I think so far.

    I would like to know....

this seasons injuries.. are they one the same side as the hi injury or are these injuries randomly sprinkled about his body like cracks in a crystal goblet.

fibre glass is much more resilient.

    He's a fine crystal goblet.one tap and he'll shatter.

What I find annoying is the abuse and fume aimed at Sturridge from our fans.

We're all upset, frustrated, pissed off at the situation but some fans have a genuine dislike towards the guy.

Also, under the limited game time under Klopp that we've seen, he had improved his work rate and was pressing a lot more.

Well yeah, thats just crazy, I very much doubt he is getting injured on purpose.
Klopp didn't help matters though, by insinuating that he is a pussy with the whole "He needs to know the difference between pain etc "

    Exactly.

Agree to some degree re. klopps comments.

I've heard from a few that the previous management we're also getting frustrated with his injuries as well and believe it's more a mental issue than physical.

And maybe the medical staff need to take some responsibility as well?

Or maybe it is just bad luck ...

Can people also STOP MAKING THREADS ON SUBJECTS WHICH ALREADY HAVE THEIR OWN THREAD. Not difficult to scan down the main page and see if somebody has already done it.

Maybe in terms of recovery, mental strength goes a long way in the recovery process.
But you can't make your hamstring snap with your mind :)

I've not met anyone who has a genuine dislike for him as a person but as a player (on a massive wage) he's an asset we can't afford to have injured so often. He's at the point now where he's become a liability and that's a crying shame but it's also the harsh reality of football. When you earn the superstar wages you need to prove yourself season in, season out and you have to accept there will be questions asked of your commitment when you miss the ridiculous amount of games he has.

The biggest dilemma now for Klopp is does Studge stay or does he go? We can't afford that wage for such a meagre return, we can't afford to strengthen a rival if we sell and he stays fit and we can't really afford to be left with just Benteskey and Origi. Time to roll the dice in January?

seems so.... never had a song either.

Everyone's frustrated but there you go. nobody is sure which is real and whats in his head and klopp has not helped that so this one could be a tear or a twinge. who knows.

Would like a specific the scan said a grade a tear or some such out of klopp to draw a line under it

Even Costa played most of last season with a dodgy hamstring, and he isn't exactly what I would call the most committed of players.
(Though some would argue he should be committed.....to an asylum :p)

I'm glad Klopp said what he did. It's not his job to pussy foot around players, protect their feelings etc. He knows the impact his training/pressing style has on weaker players so he needs to find out quickly who can cope and who cant. Things don't look good for Studge on that front. He's weak, whether that's weak of body or weak of mind who knows but if it is the latter he might be fixable. Klopp needs to find that out asap (unfortunately I suspect it's the worst case scenario...his body is weak and his confidence in it is now shot too).

All this does raise another question for me though...these expensive "medical experts" in LA are getting a small fortune for what exactly? They seem to have made him even more fragile than he was before.

(Ps...welcome back mate. Great to see you posting again).
