Honestly the republicans must be dying to get the first primaries underway and get this loon off the table cos right now he is ruining their election possibilities surely?

Yeah. The US would never vote for such a ludicrous candidate as Donald Trump, would they?

I think hes a plant to be honest.

Until a few years ago he was a registered democrat and a close personal friend of both Clintons. He has helped out a number of their fund raisers. I don't believe he is a legitimate candidate.

If he wins the republican nomination Clinton is president. There is no way moderates would vote for him.

If he loses the nomination and runs as independent he can still give Clinton victory by splitting the republican base.

I hate to sound like Sisu and his conspiracy theories but I'd bet there's even odds Trump is a plant.

no they don't. When I was in upstate NY last year it was deadly in snow and they do it all the time.... we had to bring a car with florida plates back to the airport and dump it and get another as it was that dangerous to drive.

then the rivers in march were huge.

Over here i've seen flooding and i reckon they won't subside for weeks as the rain keeps coming and runn off is still only entering rivers.

Maybe so. It would be an amazing scenario. Perhaps its an act like when he did WWE and sent ages acting up and went to wrestlemania. I mean if it was serious surely his businesses woudl all fold cos nobody would invest with a loon like this.

I don't know at this point of course but I understand in polls mr loony is top republican candidate and carson hwo is looking like a numpty is second.

At this point all clinton needs is a nomination and she'll walk in.

Personally I find this fascinating as week by week he digs a bigger and bigger hole but week by week all the others are doing is reacting to him so they are not developing as real candidates themsevles. theres no strength there

the first primary is February... thats ages away really.

The funny thing is. The more ridiculous he is the higher his ratings go. I doubt he'll win the nomination though. Eventually the republicans are going to realise they need to pick the candidate who can potentially win. Not the candidate who says what they want him to say.

I was looking at that... he's just grown and grown and he seems to have decided that full on racism against muslims is the way to go to exploit the fear out there and every statement now is boosting the polls.

I've not looked myself as I was otherwise focused but maybe milk you could say in may he was down with the rest. by july he was o n26% and he's grown since bar a couple blips.

what the HELL are republicans up to? whats driven the first jump in ratings and why is he being the one to drive the agenda?

Subway costs you £10 a visit? Jebus it's expensive over there. Converted to $ I could get at least 5 subway meals for £30. Maybe 6 or 7 if I'm frugal.

If you go and have a look at the sky around 11pm until 14th December - which is the peak - you can see the Geminid meteor shower. Was out there a little bit earlier and saw a few fly past. <magic>
