I thought mata made out he had the final touch. In which case he was a mile offside

 

Mata shouldn't have ran away as if he'd scored then. Trying to con his team mate but it backfired spectacularly as he's conned the linesman

 

Basically Mata's body movement when the ball passed him is considered as interfering with play as the goalie was distracted by it.
