To be honest I'm not bothered who the new manager will be as long as he plays Fernandez or Amat ahead of Bartley. Im still annoyed now at Monk persevering with Bartley and he lost me at Bournemouth for that decision.

Hopefully the new man freshens up the team/squad with Grimes and Tabanou (when he's fit). I know a lot on here have been vocal about Taylor however he hadn't warranted dropping until now for me. I'd actually stick Rangel in instead of him. At least he shows heart. Naughtons been crap too though.

I'd stick Barrow, Emnes and Montero in the forward line against City. All out pace will hurt them in parts.

For me, Naughton has struggled because Ayew has not stayed on the right. He was very good v Liverpool because Routs stayed out wide and they combined very well.

Roof,I can't figure out how the Argentinian Jorge Sampaoli, currently Chile coach, has come into the betting @ 11/2.
Maybe just the bookies at it,or,are we waiting for him to fly in and be interviewed?
Hence the delay in the proceedings.

You actually said "he wouldn't be from the UK ". The last I checked Northern Ireland was part of the UK. ;)
So in that vein I will say my sources tell me the next manager will definitely not be from Wales and will be european. You heard it hear first folks:1980_boogie_down:

Moyes: seems to be not interested.
Warburton: would be like appointing Russell Slade. a) I'd never heard of him until a week ago b) no PL experience c) some success in lower leagues
Rodgers: going back to a previous club/company rarely seems to work well second time around. Out of principle, he may not want to take over from an axed Garry Monk.

Could be a tricky appointment, if indeed there will be a new appointment. Stepping up Clotet as a temporary measure seems to be a non-starter if the Telegraph article is to be believed.

How about making Kifflom, Libertarian, Dragonphiljack and Monks Hero's joint managers until a suitable long-term replacement can be found...

(would make a great sketch <laugh> "Swansea City joint managers have punch-up in technical area"
DPJ - let's put Emnes up front instead of Gomis.
Kiff - Barrow's great, put him on for Routledge
Lib - what would the great Dane have done? I don't care who comes on as long as I can argue with the rest of you.
MH - the whole team needs to be substituted. How many have we got on the bench?)

If memory serves me right all previous managers have not been in the reckoning with the bookies (or been way down on the list) prior to being appointed. I think Laudrup was 25-1 up to about 3 days before being appointed and Brendan wasn't even mentioned. So on that form that Italian geezer is looking good right now as you can't even get odds on him!! I cant remember the last time the bookies favourite got the job.

Dragon and Dai are shoe-ins for the ugly sisters. Inspirational pairing.

Whilst Kiff and I would fight for the Prince Charming spot. No contest really. <laugh>

On reflection, doesn't the Prince have to kiss the girls?

    IT'S ALL YOURS KIFF. I'm out. <laugh>

I was told last Friday that a certain Italian is the front runner, but that Rodgers is in the frame as well, matter of fact it was stated that the Italian had already had an interview last week, word on the street is that Huw is going to have 'a chat' with the Queen today, and tomorrow he will make a press statement with Royal approval.

The Queen is apparently a colset Jack, but please lads don't say anything to those QPR nutters down stairs......... <laugh>

The only slight difference with those are they were done at the end of a season where the club had a lot more time, we need someone in at least 3 weeks ago, so not sure it will be someone not mentioned.
