Kenny Miller has passed medical and awaits international clearance to join Cardiff (sky sports news)

I'm personally happy with that and although not the 6ft plus target man in the Bothroyd mode, he has over 50 caps for Scotland many playing up front on his own. I believe he will score goals in the Championship

i've got to say i am surprised at this move, both that we can afford him and that he has decided to join. his record at rangers and bursaspor is very respectable, and our attack is really beginning to take shape. gone are two strikers who were on high wages and were either out of form or injured last season (bothroyd and chopra) and in are two strikers who could score a hatfull of goals next season.

As well as Kenny's goal scoring record, I think this shows what MM is all about with regards to his attacking front two. I'm not saying we won't need a target man but this football style will be more passing between the two simular strikers and running on to thorough balls which they both love to do. <ok>

He's a good player but I wonder why a Greek club want to offload a player they brought in on Prem wages? Hmmmm.

Perhaps if the Greeks paid their taxes like the rest of us they wouldn't be so deep in the financial crap and could afford to pay players like him.

Would be a very useful addition but could we afford him?

I'd take Derbyshire anytime - he is a class player. Always thought he had a great footballing brain and skills when he was with Blackburn - a bit like a taller version of our very own Whitts.

Note they quote a "nominal fee". If he can be got and the cash for wages can be found - go get him Malky!

Speculation is the life blood of this board until we have hard FACT. Unlike the Florists who treat speculation as FACT.

I'd like to see Derbyshire at Cardiff, but i can't see it if we are in an auction with Leicester and Brighton, Sven was an admirer before he went to Greece, and has the cash, and Brighton made a statement of intent when they paid big money for Mackell-Smith from Peterboro, and they are not short of money either, never say never but can't see it,

I can see us beating Brighton to his signature and think he would chose us over Brighton and possibly Leicester if given the choice, but the kind of sums Sven has been throwing round so far this summer and with no indication of him slowing down you would have to say if Matt does leave Greece then the Foxes will be hot favourites to bag the lad. But never say never and it wouldn't surprise me if Malky is already looking into it, fingers crossed!

Wassup man? A big dark cloud over your head today? It has actually been over Newport most of the day today but looks like clearing up now. A nice weekend perhaps?

When is your rainy season? Ours started last week!!!!!

This signing is dragging on a bit. Is there a problem, have Rangers come back and matched the bid? Wouldn't surprise me and Glasgow is really where Miller wants to be.

All done and dusted apparently and awaiting international clearance, delayed by the weekend.............mind you until he ACTUALLY puts pen to paper it could be hijacked, worse case scenario, Rangers thought they would get him back on the cheap not thinking anyone would match Buraspor's valuation, they could be planning a hijack, fingers crossed <ok>
