Perhaps a bit of tiredness too in firmino's case but i do feel he needs more time playing to get that precision into his general play and become more of a presence on the pitch too.

Agreed. We've all been happy about the change in mood - players looking like they care and fans getting excited. A couple of losses is 'normal' and it tests everyone's resolve.

I think in general its been as inconsistent as before but ther eis a general brighter mood and a better style leading to people being excited that a game is coming up. Knowing this I'd rather be us than the poor old mancs who are really enduring it by results alone.

But.... I said before I got ill people better start thinking... Utd will win this league if city don't get thier act together fast. Utd are dull and teams have figured out the wold card matrial added but they have the quality to win this title. However it'll be endured whereas our 6th place will be a rollercoaster to be enjoyed.... (so there's my prediction, 6th)

    Is this some secret code?

But this is quite some "glass half full" view. The mancs enduring winning the title whilst we enjoy our 6th ! :bandit:

But seriously I agree with you about the mancs. Unless some one takes them seriously they will quietly and slowly out of the limelight move towards the title. Arsenal could implode at any time especially with their injuries and City at the moment look the team to stop them , if they get their key players back. The press have all written off their chances up to now and this morning for the first time Jamie Rednapp tentatively mentioned the T word in relation to them.

They are only 2 points off as we speak. They are serious title contenders. Arsenal are being put up there by the pundits to create a race as nobody expects leicester to last but you are right Arsenal are hanging on by a thread just like sanchez's hamstring.

City are very odd. I felt pregame this weekend they had a good screen in front of the back two and enough in silva sterling and de bruyne to win but then they served up muck. Aguero, yaya and kompany... if all are fit they can win 10 in a row and put the title to bed. Without them.. its pretty poor.

If we add in the fact pelligrnini looks to be on his way out... well.... you can see why they don't stretch themselves for him.

Firm has had two good games all season for us.

City and a league cup game. In both games the opposition sat back, gave him space and didn't press him.

My interpretation of this is that Firm is a very skilful and talented player who just doesn't perform under pressure.

Give him space and he will tear you up. Pressure him and he won't do well.

If he learns to think on his feet quicker he could justify his price tag. If he doesn't... Well it'll be a shame.

Or he's still getting used to the pace? I don't watch enough germs football to comment properly, (where is nozzer), but maybe the lower teams in Germany don't press and run around as much as the lower teams in the prem so he needs to adapt

German football is fast and just as hard working.

Firmino has had some good performances for us. Let's not forget, Coutinho was poor this season when partnered with Benteke.

I maintain - benteke is the single biggest problem in the attack. He stifles those around him. no one can create for him because he's too dumb, slow and lazy.
