Moyes is just sitting around at the moment twiddling his thumbs, he would be the perfect fit for us as he needs to rebuild his reputation, surely a better manager than Bruce
We're spoiled for choice for new managers, there're dozens on this board alone, never mind the thousands at the stadium that all know better than the experienced professionals.
I hope you like your managers wearing jeans, flannel with beards and looking like mountain men cause I am not going to be wearing any lame track suit.
If you went on the toffee board when he left for Man U they were jumping for joy that he'd gone! He's been sacked twice since for a reason!
In the first half, we looked no different with or without Bruce, in the second we were much better, but without a decent striker, it did us no good.
I thought they liked him at Everton but if thats the case then who knows. I know a lot of Man U fans didn't like him but then they will be mostly spoilt glory seekers living in Northern Ireland and so on
He's a decent manager is Moyes and great at operating on a budget, but his football is about as attractive as Steve Bruce's nose. Results would improve under him ive no doubt of that but if you wanted to see vibrant football it would be just as unlikely as under Steve Bruce. I'd still have him here obviously, but he wouldn't come, he's way above our stature.
What I (& I'm sure many, many others ) can't understand is why Bruce keeps on making the same errors in team selection over & over again ? . Its like he's a rookie manager in his 1st season not a manager with nearly 400 Premiership games under his belt. Surely he can see that the Livermore/Huddlestone partnership DOES NOT WORK, yet at every opportunity he sticks Huddlestone back in with Livermore. Meyler's injury was the perfect opportunity for Bruce to try something different & play Hayden. So what does he do, stick Huddlestone back in!!!. Why on earth play Aluko up top on his own against Leeds ??? Aluko is not a striker, he sits in the hole behind the strikers. Never in a million years should he be played as a lone striker. Yes he was woeful, but what did Bruce expect ?
exactly - we were awful with Junior and we were awful without Junior in the first half - the defence had no chance with the midfield, mainly Livermore constantly giving the ball away putting pressure on the back four - people say we missed Dawson - I don't think it would have mattered - you cant keep putting that kind of pressure on the back and expect the opposition not to score - It doesn't help when Brucie insists on all 11 back for every corner - as soon as it goes out it comes straight back - you'd need to be a ****ing idiot not to see that - Brucie can't
Hi Waggy, you have to give Moyes credit for taking a pop at Spain after the Man U failure, he's in no way a bad manager but maybe people are right and he isn't what we need, just throwing the name out there. I've heard him linked with some Prem team tonight on the radio and probably a few other teams after him so by the time Bruce goes he won't be available
IF SB goes then the only person I can see taking over is Mike Phelan! If he goes & I get chance to have a bet on it, I will! Also why don't these old threads get locked? It'd be nice if these person/people just started new threads instead of digging up **** from months ago!
Baffles me why XBox Managers think Brucie's suddenly got ****, or lost the ability to manage. I get you think you know everything, and the internet empowers you and gives credence in your heads to that lie, but, you do NOT know what Bruce knows about Luer, you do NOT know what Bruce knows about the players he has available to him. There's an awful lot you don't know about the players and the way things are. You need to give your collective heads a shake.
