He didn't need to slide like that... If he's stood up the ball would have just hit him or Mig would have caught it.

Thats the thing with Skrtel, he gets into awkward positions which mean he can't get decent contact on it... Lots of people say 'we'll he was in right area and couldn't do much' but if he wa sin right area he'd get the ball away properly.

Its like everyone was creaming over Scott Parker for his last ditch tackling few seasons back, but if he'd been in right position from the start wouldn't need to do that.

7 OG's in the Prem, only Dunne has scored more... That says something. The guy is a liability.

Thanks. Deserved win for yous, no arguments. IF you keep that up every game you'll be fine. I think the key to playing you is to get the first goal, and get it early, and the heads go down. Hopefully the players can gain confidence from this and a little belief. There's some talent in your team, with lots more out injured to come back.

Still hopeful of top four, though many of us on here had been saying the title talk was garbage, and this is a reality kick. Just have to make do with three cups and the Nobel Peace Prize this season... <doh>

Good luck with the rest of the campaign. You know your lot have always been welcome down here. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I still say that if the 'offside' goal had been correctly allowed, we'd have gone on to win it.

Djimi Traore logic. They said the same about him, neglecting the fact that he stood ball-watching until it was usually too late.

Slings and arrows, and all that. I notice there's nowhere near as much fuss being made about it as the (correctly given) pen against Swansea.

    1. Play ****
    2. Red card not given for two footed studs up
    3. Goal wrongly disallowed
    4. Own goal
If just two of these happen we win. Three of them and we get a #dirtypoint, but all four we get nothing.

Klopp can think about 1. Skrtel can think about 4. Other than that #wegoagain

Yep, but if it had been the winner we'd hear for the rest of the season how we "need linesmen to allow our goals to stand to win against a crap team"

    1. linesman v swnasea gave us a pen. cheslea one IMO was more of a pen this week

    2. linesman v newcastle was behind the line of defense so was out of position and did get it wrong but thats the way it goes.

Reality is we were poor, very poor and ran out of ideas totally after 40 mins. Klopp said "They deserved to win, We were not good enough today. I don't know why. I will have to go and analyse the game to know more about it. They worked hard, but we can do better."

In short its simple, way too much holding on to the ball, taking too many touches and predictable runs and areas of play. Ibe was particularly guilty on the right as he never cut in once and the defender easily marked him out of it, but then milner, firimino and allen were all poor.

Agree with allof that except Ibe. He was our only hope in the first half, and was the one player that you could see the Mags were terrified of. He was as **** as Geronimo and Bumteke in the 2nd.

That performance was similar to a Rodgers in charge performance.
