Who knows? It was the lack of creativity that was the issue not the striker. Lallana came on with Sturidge and he was the one who provided you with some invention in the final third
True, but the same invention Sturridge needed isn't the same as what Benteke needs. Unfortunately when we have Benteke we still tried to play as if we had Sturridge up top... and it failed. Not Benteke's fault, he's not fitting that system and it was an issue... but had we started with Sturridge then we would have had a far better chance given he fits the style we play and his goal scoring record over the last 3 years..

De Boer, Simeone, Joachim Low, Giggs, Guardiola Unai Emery is one I like a lot and tactically would be ideal for United. Pacy wingers, plays either a 4-2-3-1 yet often plays 2 up front. But the fanboy inside me thinks he may not be able to live up to managing the club.

He picked him fair enough, but if you do that you then can't play the same style you would if you had Sturridge up top. Play benteke without Lallana/Coutinho then use his strengths, don't keep trying to play infront of the defence slowly.... Need to get in dangerous positions and feed Benteke in the box.
