Who do you want? It will only be one game so best to get City away and succumb to a 4-0 defeat or go out at home to Salford for the laughs? Personally would like a local-ish ground I've not been to. Something non-league even better.
I'd like that at LR and allowing Harriman to play for them if he's still on loan, so we can cheer his every touch and get a message across.
I reckon this could be our year of getting past the 3rd round & going on a run, as long as we don't meet any 1st or 2nd & non league in the 3rd round.
Is going on a run, the same as winning a match in the FA cup? I would like an easy win at home in the 3rd, and then knock out a big team in the 4th round....and then lose gracefully in the 5th...to concentrate on the League
Out of interest, I'll raise the same old debate as every year. Promotion or FA cup win, hypothetically. For me, a cup win all day long and I've never understood those who would prefer the former.
Bad weekend for non-league teams, only Eastleigh definitely through, Salford and Whitehawk in replays and Grimsby play on Monday night. I think I'd rather we got a Premier League team to get things over with quickly and we can then go for a big finish in the League...
Cup win, any cup. Hillsborough was great a few years ago, so too Vicarage Road and then Leeds at home after the ruling in 2011. However, those promotions are a dull memory compared to OBZ's last minute winner at Wembley. Imagine if that was for the FA Cup. A cup win will stay with you forever, promotion might last a year. Look at Wigan, relegated twice since their win, bet they still wouldn't swap it. As an aside, given the total contempt that the club have shown us fans and the cup competitions in recent years, I'd like to see us boycott the game, whoever we get.
Couldn't agree more with the first two paragraphs. As for the third, it's a new (mostly) team and manager. Anything which helps us towards a cup run has to be good. I'm 25 and can only remember us getting to the fifth round once!
