(still very dubious myself :undecided:, but....)

Queens Park Rangers captain Adel Taarabt admits he could yet ply his trade for the R's next season if a move to Paris St Germain does not come to fruition.

Warnock: I won't see Taarabt cash

The 22-year-old has been the subject of rife speculation this northern summer after shining during QPR's promotion from the Championship last season.

Numerous clubs across Europe have been mooted as a potential destination for Taarabt, with PSG looking the most likely to land his signature.

The Morocco international admits talks are ongoing with the Ligue 1 club but says he may yet stay in west London.

"We're talking with Paris St Germain, but nothing is done," he told BBC Sport.

"We're very close, but if no deal is reached then I will play for QPR in the Premier League."

News that Taarabt could remain at Loftus Road will be a welcome boost for manager Neil Warnock, who has admitted he is unlikely to be given any cash from the potential sale.

Meanwhile, QPR has agreed a deal in principle that will see Max Ehmer joined Yeovil Town on a six-month youth loan.

The 19-year-old recently penned a contract extension at Loftus Road until 2013 and is expected to secure a return to Somerset on Monday.

Ehmer made 27 appearances for Yeovil in League One last season during a similar spell.

SSN just said the deal is close to breaking down as PSG only want to pay £8m up front and QPR want £10m.

If Colin isn't going to see any of the money from the sale we would be far better off with Adel staying!!

As NW's unlikely to see any money either way so we're definately better off if it breaks down although I suspect it's all part of the negotiations & a likely compromise will be made & the deal eventually goes through.

We're better off with him anyway. How the hell do you replace Adel Taarabt?? Messi, Ronaldo, Rooney?? We're a zillion miles from getting anywhere near another player with AT's talent.

Ask yourself this, who would you rather see in the hole v Bolton, Tarbs or Hogan Ephraim? :(

Finally flabio being greedy has some benefits, I was thinking about what NW said about only bosmans in or players of minute transfer fees being signed, it's an awful situation but if you look at some of the frees available ie Reo Coker, Hargreaves (injury permitting), Upson maybe. there is quite a good Market, but ideally we all want to see money being spent on good signings. On the dyer topic, I went to the Plymouth game and he was very sharp and has still got ability, nowhere near AT though

Flavio insisting on more money up front would fit in with the theory that the Goons want to take it out before a sale of the club...

Most need some cash as well, though.......

I'd prefer him to stay till at least January though. I'd far rather be facing Bolton with him in the side than without.

As for him 'enhancing' or 'reducing' his fee based on how he plays in the Prem? Meaningless. What's the difference if NW doesn't see £3million or £15million?

Adel Taarabt sparks civil war at PSG

ADEL TAARABT has sparked a major civil war at Paris St Germain.
The French club's Arab owners have already tabled a £13.5million bid for the QPR star who seems certain to move.

Yet former AC Milan coach Leonardo, now a director at PSG, walked out of negotiations because he did not want to spend more than £7m of his budget on the Moroccan.

Leonardo - employed by new PSG owners Qatar Sports Investments - had to be ordered back to the negotiating table.

He feels Taarabt, 22, is still unproven and wants to keep funds to tempt St Etienne star Blaise Matuidi and Benfica defender Luisao.

I think Leonardo makes a fair point. He is unproven at top level. I hate to say this but Robbie savage made him look very average. What's going to happen when he comes across some of the warhorse mid field & defenders of the premier league? We HOPE we will still be chanting 'Taraabts too good for you' but there is a chance we won't.

Please don't misunderstand me. As big an Adel fan as any but he is unproven. I sincerely hope he gets that chance to prove himself with us rather than PSG.

Robbie Savage made him look average, but Taarabt made Joe Allen/Seyi Olifinjana/Edgar Davids etc etc look more than very average.

He will have ****e games, but he will be unplayable in many. Yeh Leonardo is right and Tarb is untested at the highest level.... I have no doubt that his ability will make the step up comftably tho :)

Like I said, hope he stays.
