Team was probably tired from all the games we've been playing recently and the travelling. The style of play we have under Klopp also isn't as effective if the players aren't at a 100%, which is what we saw today.
The whole team were shocking but the decision to start Benteke is what cost us. The sooner we sell this useless sack of ****, the better. The Newcastle team are ****. Let's not pretend otherwise - their defence is shocking, they conceded 3 corners in first 2 mins! We just needed to attack them with intelligence, pace and movement and there is no way they would have coped. But no - we decided to play Ben who offers nothing! And even then, he missed ANOTHER sitter! Game wore on, we didn't threaten and we have their fans a voice and the players their confidence. Ah well - the positives. Sturridge got more minutes and Origi looked tidy when he came on. As a result, Benteke is now 3rd choice. Goodnight.
I know people will blame the players but I also think Klopp has been complacent in this game. He chose a team that gave Newcastle confidence. They must have looked around and thought at least there is no Sturridge and Lallana. For the players I personally think they failed to grasp that if the game is scrappy you pass it first and get your accuracy high tire the players and get your goals. We decided to scrap and that is their forte. Well played Newcastle.
It's not even as favourites... it's when teams sit back and defend against us. We lack creativity with no Coutinho and teams allow us the ball becase we can't get through them... we don't even alter the tactics to try get decent crosses into Benteke. We then get frustrated and other teams grow into it. We've seen the same thing happen over and over at Anfield, Newcastle are just the first team to do it at their own ground in a while...

As Lamborini mentioned, Klopp had a poor game. The team selection was poor. Can is the only midfielder worthy of being at this club. Milner needs to be put down like the cart horse that he is.
I'd usually feel bad for any team having a goal wrongly ruled offside but Ramsey's goal was when you played us at the Emirates. The balance has been restored.
Klopp thought that Newcastle were too rubbish to put our first team against. Complacency of the worst kind. Why change a winning team ? Got what we deserved. Nothing and a fall back to reality for some.
They got lucky last week with that penalty and robbed Bournemouth at Anfield as a result of awful decisions, so they can't moan..........but they will
He was no worse - but it's his impact on those around him! Like I told you before, there's more to just merely scoring goals. Our attack is so poor when he starts - the performances and stats back that up. You may be blinded by the occasional worldie he scores but I'm not. And Sturridge was far more involved in the game and made a great run in behind the defence - the first in the game.
Well we can moan...a bad decision is a bad decision lol..thats why the other teams supporters moan when it goes against them. Think you'll find we are all saying we deserved nothing from the match regardless....
If Sturridge is fit play him till he breaks down again. I am sorry but Benteke needs to be given the Origi treatment. Stay home improve your work rate run the channels improve ball control This game is like the Palace game where he got a chance to score and failed where it was easier.
Firmino, Benteke, Allen and Lucas were all complete toilet. Only Ibe comes out of the game with any credit from your perspective

Fair shout but it's not Benteke's fault. That's his natural style. Good player but the wrong player for our team. Thought Origi was good when he came on as well.
