The Derby match and this one are reminiscent of the ones last season when certain players didn't turn up and we got relegated as a consequence

At a guess, attack quicker through the middle of the pitch, getting the ball into the box to a player who can control the ball, not twist, turn and fall over. No names mentioned. Everyone knows we overplay the ball on the wings. The only problem is a player with that quality will have to be bought in January. The star forward we have at the moment normally goes AWOL at this time of year - it must be the cold weather, poor thing.

Why the **** would Moyes come to City? No way he'd drop down like that.

If Bruce ever gets the heave-ho, then I expect Phelan, Clemence and Bertschin to go with him.

Anybody who can't think of another manager that could join us is a tit who clearly doesn't watch enough football.

So why isn't he "advising" & doing his ****ing job? Unless he's trying to set up SB & then become the hero to take over?

I could understand the need to play the ball out wide if we had two tricky wingers who constantly beat there man but we don't , clucas doesn't have the pace and elmo is ****ed if he comes up against a full back that has speed .

Maybe he does and Bruce ignores him. Bruce is a 'the buck stops with me' sort of guy. He seems set in his ways and devoid of any original ideas. In the last promotion season from the Championship the 3-5-2 worked a treat. Now that was a good idea, wasn't it? The problem there of course, as Bruce admitted in a recent interview, it wasn't his idea, it came from Steve Agnew.

In all seriousness the injury situation is killing City right now. It shouldn't be the case I know, players have to take responsibility and step up,but losing Daws at the back has definitely effected the organisation and steel the new Captain courageous usually shows.Same thing happens at Man CItee when Kompany is out. For all the cynicism, comment and wind ups,our strongest team will give any side more than a game in this division and I wager still will do if and when we get all the right players back for a few games together.

During the Derby match it was Mike Phelan that who stormed out the dug out and pointed out to Bruce, that he'd got it wrong with the full backs at which point Bruce put them back in there right positions.

Lots of big name managers have had to drop down the leagues, some of them never to be heard of again so never assume a manager wouldn't do it, classic example is David O Leary, whats he doing these days, Peter Taylor was England manager for a game and we still got him in the lower leagues

I reckon we would be a good fit for Moyes. He'd come here if Brucey did get the heave ho.

If it continues Brucey's writing his own resignation letter.

I am enjoying watching this high tempo pressing football. It beats this lethargical backwards, forwards, backwards again stuff we play at the moment. Press from the front and don't give the opposition time on the ball. It works in any league and it seems to be a leveller as the top teams whilst they have the best players - none of them like being denied time and space on the ball.

If we do ever make a change, this is how I'd like us to play.

The obvious problem is that if we don't achieve promotion this season we stand a very real possibility of losing some very valuable members of our squad for nothing, and then any potential new manager, or even Bruce if he's still here, will possibly be struggling for funds to replace those players lost with players of a similar quality.

You mean like when Jake and Meyler play together, and probably very similar with Hayden in until Meyler's fit.

Not to mention the club missing out on that big cash bonus, bigger than any other season before.

Indeed. Some appear to be missing the relevance of gaining, or not, promotion this season. Everything could turn to total **** if we miss out, and with this squad we really shouldn't be looking as poor as we have done in our last three league games.

I fully understand why Bruce is still favoured as he has undoubtedly proven that he knows his way out of this division, however if he fails I dread to think of the possible/ probable consequences.
