Thought I would catch up with some of our old boys in the Reading v QPR game. Bond, Angella and Tözsér all warming the bench, only Vydra on display. He is rushing around, pointing to where he would like the ball, and none of the others in his team are taking notice of him. I find it hard to believe that this is a game worthy of TV coverage, it is so poor. A half empty stadium makes it seem even worse. Maybe the Championship is not as good as I thought it last season.
Good morning all from a mild and dry Weston-super-Mare. It was tipping it down when I went to bed but has dried out completely now! Have a good day!
Sæl öll from the Graham Taylor Breakfast Nook. Tea and coffee, donuts and fruit are on the bar. Half and half coffee for Brian Black coffee for Bragi Flat white coffee for Yorkie Frothy for W_Y Café Allongé for OFH When will the club make the announcement that Emmanuel Adebayor has joined? This rumour will not die and I think it will be end as fact.
Funny old world! I have just received an e-mail from a French company that I buy building materials from sometimes. They warn me that fraudulent e-mails are being sent out in their name trying to obtain banking details. "If you feel that you have been compromised in any way, or require help, please telephone ********." They then go on to say that any calls will be charged at premium rates. Umm.
The Tour de France route has been announced and they will be coming to Montmorillon next July. This is the nearest town of any size to me, 28 kms away and already we have been warned about the traffic difficulties we can expect. The organizers are saying that the state of the roads is good, while the local cycling clubs are saying they are dreadful. No doubt the patching gangs will be out in force between now and then and the council gardening department will be planning lavish displays on the roundabouts and town hall.
Good morning all from a mild and dry Weston-super-Mare! Have a good day and I hope for a good entertaining match later!
Morning all, a beautiful sunny morning, but a heavy overnight frost. As I was heading towards the warmth and aroma of the baker's shop, in the far distance down the long straight road I could see a very bright light seemingly moving towards me. As it became closer I realized it was a convoy of thirty or forty vintage cars, all spotlessly clean with the chrome gleaming in the bright sunlight. Bringing up the rear was a non-vintage four by four with a breakdown sign on the roof. Better safe than sorry I expect.
Bonjour mes amis. Bright and sunny here in Montpelier. Just back from the market with foie gras, Roquefort, tarte au citron, jambon and a few other goodies. One could eat far too much living here! A long walk this afternoon and back to catch up with the Hornets progress.
Afternoon all from a windy St. Helier. Living close to the harbour, I get the full effect of it pretty much once I go outside.
Morning all from the country that is out voting today. Well maybe the people should be doing just that, but the regional elections usually have a poor turnout and many will not bother. A little bit breezy but mild and dry seems to sum the weather up. Hope that none of you ooop north have suffered from the storms. Think I will sneak out to the fields now before Mme finds a job for me that just cannot wait.
Morning Mme has already had the Xmas decorations conversation with me..... Seems like we have 5 working sets of lights plus the icicle set she commanded me to buy yesterday.. She has now departed with a list of instructions for me.... now which set goes where????????? I think I too might just do some damp weather gardening....
Walked along the River Lez this morning and after lunch plan to look at French paintings in the Musee Fabre. A bit grey today but les Francais are all out to lunch (many with mere or grand mere in tow).
