Not sure how many Liverpool fans are going to make it to the game tomorrow with the state of this weather and loads of roads and train lines closed. I know it's really bad down by the stadium too, though don't think it's bad enough to put the game in any danger. Might not be a bad bet to stick some money on one of the goalies scoring tomorrow with a helpful little gust at the right time. This wind might also prove to be a straw for us to clutch onto if it makes it a bit of a lottery and takes some of the skill out the game!!
Wind is predicted to be about 9mph at the time of kick off tomorrow so I wouldn't get too excited about that helping us.
And you couldn't wait until tomorrow to tell me this? No! You have to go and destroy my one bit of hope as soon as you can!!
Blame God mate. He's the **** who has decided the wind will die down just in time for our game. Desperate times when we're clinging to the hope of high winds being our best chance of getting something from a home game.
It wasn't even a good chance! No doubt our players would have bottled it from the wind as much as they do from anything else!!
We were in Edinburgh yesterday, while the wind and rain was bad on the east side of the country it looks nothing compared to the west.
Safe journey Chippy A bit blowy in the East but we appear to have escaped the worst of this Shame that others are knee deep in flood water again though.
Cheers GLITF. It is indeed sad to see the flooding in Cumbria. Those poor folk have had a lot to deal with in recent years and now this.. Just before Christmas. I really feel for them.
