Read rumours of this last month, but money is being mentioned again. If it hasn't worked out, it would be best to get it sorted with compromise on both sides.

    Transfer rumours?

Can't say we'd miss him if we sold him. Contributed nothing this season (other than Long's goal against a **** Vitesse side)

If this is true then surely we're in for a striker/attacker in Jan as well?

This was reported some time ago in the transfer rumours thread by Fran. Doesn't look like anything has changed since then. He always looks happy enough in the training pictures.

For me, Juami is just blocking the route for Seagar and Hesketh.
He has shown little to get me excited...if he wants the second half of the season away then let him go then either try and get our money back or get him for preseason to give him a final chance

With every place in the Prem now making millions of £ difference I doubt we will ever see teams letting their youth have a chance anymore. Fight to the line even if you will only finish 8th because its worth way much more than 10th etc.

A bit over the top no? Teams will never let youth have a chance again?

I mean if we are safe from relegation but not threatening the top places we aren't going to let the youth have a chance because it isn't a 'nothing to lose' scenario anymore. Every place means £millions so you play your best players every week.

Hoe many youngsters have come through in the past couple of seasons? Bilic put one in the other week. Grealish. Any more?

The difference in money between each position last season was about £1.2 million. Every club got £54.1 million, plus position money of between QPR's £1.23 million and Chelsea's £24.7 million. So clubs who are mid-table could easily play more youth players without losing too much.

Juanmi has looked okay to me when he has played. I thought he was quite good today, actually. We really screwed the pooch losing in Euro so early. It would have given us a chance to play Juanmi, and maybe Seager as well in some matches. Get them some experience and we get a chance to take a look at them.

I would not want to sell him back to Malaga as we will take a loss on the deal and to me Juanmi is at least a 5m player. IMO, he should be in strong consideration as our second half supersub over Long.

But it's quite possible Saints have run the rule over him and decided he doesn't have what it takes. So if we do sell him I guess I will trust Koeman's judgement.

Ibe was only put in by Rodgers when his mass spending spree failed to produce players and he started to put different players in desperately trying to find something that worked. Liverpool fans had been going on about Ibe just as we are about Reed for ages.

Lingard has also been around for years. Glad he is being given a chance but how long for?

Watmore is at a club desperate to survive with a poor squad and needing to offload lots of them before buying

Galloway is Zimbabwean, Iheanacho is Nigerian.

Isn't many. I don't think we will put any youngsters into the side to give them a run unless we are short of players. Much more likely to buy in January than promote from within. 2 or 3 places in the league even at 1.2m a place is money we will not want to lose.

They are still young and have come through the academies. It doesn't matter if they are from Timbuktu they are still young and given a chance.

Playing youth isn't taking a chance if they are good enough. Playing Reed in particular wouldn't be taking a chance, he's already proven he's good enough to be a DM at this level.

The door on the 'pathway' shall remain bolted for a while longer then :) The youngsters peeking through the glass to the other side.
