Think we missed 3 relatively simple headers in the second half through not attacking the ball - Elmo, Maguire and Chubba all guilty. We need to play 2 strikers somehow, even if we don't have 2 fit ones at the club at the moment. Diane played well but is not able to hold the ball and play in someone - look at how Woods operated as a lone striker, we don't have that without Hernandez.
I have been one of Huddlestone's fans, but in this division he just doesn't have the grit and determination to compete and is too slow. If Meyler's not available Hayden needs to play along side Livermore. I even think if Dawson and Davies are fit, then you could even look at playing Maguire in midfield along side Livermore and be better than Huddlestone being there.
The next two games could be vital. Fail to score in either and its two points at best, for every goal scored the opposition need to do the same to avoid defeat. Allam OUT
The only way we will get these things to happen is with another manager, that's the truth of it. The same mistakes made repeatedly have already probably made the difference between us getting automatic or not. When Meyler got injured Hayden should have come in not Huddlestone.
I am not so sure changing the manager is the best thing, SB has been the best manager we have had and has achieved more than we could have hoped for a few years ago. I accept he has made mistakes, but for the most part he gets a lot more right than wrong. Better we have this blip now rather than later in the season, I am still confident we will finish in the top two. As far as Huddlestone and Hayden we are both singing from the same hymn sheet.
is this really from a Middlesborough fan who`s team had their arses kicked at the KC, hmmm thought so, pipe down little man and lets see where we sit at the end of the season, now run along there`s a good chap
Agree with this Quill how ever playing Luer up front has a main striker I cannot comment enough because I haven't seen him enough, Maloney was ill today, Snodgrass is timing and control looked out when a pass went into him in the box with only one player to beat, Hopefully within a couple of weeks we will have a choice forward line of Snodgass, Diomande and Hernandez Maloney, Akpom and Luer, then get Diame back into midfield and with Dawson back its a completely different team
Said it several times on these boards - Hull City have changed manager without having any idea of who should replace him far too often in the past and always with disastrous consequences. I remain confident that we can make the top two and any talk of changing manager is crazy IMO. Bruce in.
Weve got all our "banana skins" out the way nice and early, and were still 2nd wind your neck in kids head and grow up Its a bit of a laugh, nothing else,
We've lost to what I thought was a very poor Leeds team who were there for the taking, we give two bad goals away and even though it was an awful first half we still had a few decent chances to score, Clucas miss was bad then they go to the other end and score, For me the second half we dominated and had enough chances to have at least got a draw if not more. Yet despite what some think we are missing the injured players, im hoping within a couple of weeks we have four or five to come back. The players we have in this squad should have still been good enough to beat a struggling team like Leeds today but some of the chances we missed you don't deserve to win, two midfielders up top doesn't help but then bringing Akpom on who looked a bit more lively but again like the Bristol game he missed an open goal with a simple header, Hernandez, Diomande get fit quick because your badly needed. Its not even half way yet and I think if we get players back and have a bit more luck with injuries then we are more than capable of moving back up this league, keep the faith like Nigel Pearson once said "don't get to high on a win or to low on a defeat its not who's at the top now its at the end that counts
You can't be coming on here with your luminous bait, reeling our touchy types in ............ we used to be Premier League don't you know?
Diame and Huddlestone ruin the team. We need workers not lazy show boaters. We won 5 in a row without conceding a goal without Huddlestone. It didn't take him long to ruin us.
A And how would 'another manager' manage players who are coming to the end of their contracts and have already taken a 50% wage cut this season? Not forgetting the club are 'not talking' contracts yet. Also would this 'another manager' erm, manage to stop players getting injured ? Three weeks ago we were looking like we were going to run away with this league, no we need 'another manager' threads after Boro at home. Massive difference between then and now is the absence of Micheal Dawson and David Meyler ( who most of this board thought was ****ing useless when the season kicked off)
Whilst true if they are both injured again it does't appear their replacements are up to their standard and without Hernandez we don't have a decent striker.
