Cheers for your comments guys Just out of interest, where do you think we will finish this season? Good luck for the rest of the season, whatever happens I'm sure there are 3 worse teams than yourselves in the league, you should be fine
Leicester were a pleasure to watch. Top 4 definitely. We were completely outplayed and outthought. I actually think man for man we have an equally talented squad but it's pretty obvious Monk is the problem. I also froze my butt off so just for that you can **** off - NOW!
BBC radio wales say Ash and Mahrez after they got dressed met in the tunnel and it kicked off. Ash had to be restrained for trying to get on their coach chasing him.
If Ash had caught him, it would have been the first time all day that either he or Bartley had got anywhere near him....
I'm talking in general, with the benefit of comparing the Spanish players we have had, and the French players we now have, Marhez is an exception as far as I see it...........
I've always thought of us you & Southampton as three similar sized clubs.... Nothing between either apart from work ethic , luck and an under rated but experienced manager !
Bournemouth go one up against Chelsea in 82 nd minute. If it stays like that then we are only 2 points off relegation places !
Well, the first half was the continuing downward spiral of the last few months. Poor defensive errors leading to low confidence and more errors. Then the crowd get on the team's back (understandably) and the players start having a go at each other as well, which leads to more mistakes and low morale and on it goes. Lucky not to be 0-4 down at half-time. No creativity and not a shot on the Leicester goal that I could remember. There's probably a lot less pressure on the team when they're playing away. To be fair, we did improve in the second half, if only by shots on target. Ki headed onto the bar, Sigurdsson hit the post, Gomis failed to convert a one-on-one with the keeper and Ayew fluffed a chance from 6 yards in injury time. With more clinical finishing by both sides it could have ended 4-9. TBH, I can't believe there are still 5 teams below us, which might still be our saving grace this season. I suspect Garry is now within an inch of getting the chop. If he is given the boot, at least his successor still has a bit of a platform from which to work, and won't be starting off in the bottom three.
Bournemouth just beat Chelsea , were 2 points out of relegation even if Monk doesn't believe it's possible ....hard time for our "Best Team Ever "
The only problem is we haven't got the players for a dogfight. We assembled a team to play football "The Swansea Way" and we're currently playing like Mountain Dew seconds. There's not a dog among them and of the statistics today one stands out for me (apart from the score!) Fouls: Swansea 3 Leicester 19 We allowed them to walk through us. In fact, we couldn't get near them to foul in the first place. And I wasn't particularly impressed with Leicester. I thought Bournemouth were a far better footballing team when they were at the Liberty a fortnight ago and they've followed that up with a 1-0 win at Stamford Bridge tonight. We're in the sh.it.
