I know it's going back in what I've said previously but Ancellotti is available right now Someone pick up the ****ing phone.
Dear old (young) UIR will be along soon enough to tell us that we're all middle aged idiots, the players are to blame (for the team selection and tactics) and that it's not like we never had a goalless draw under Fergie. I wonder what the stats are for the total number of goalless draws during Fergie's entire reign.
Ancelotti will do more for the club, squad, performance and results in 18 months than LVG. And I include the development of Giggs in that as well.
From Sky... Sir Alex Ferguson didn't have a goalless draw in his final 116 games in charge of Manchester United.
Got a massive reputation too Awesome. Tell you what, if we don't win Wednesday don't be surprised if someone does make that call.
Maybe if you go out of the CL. Then he can completely **** up your league standing but win the europey cup for you, leading dozens of scousers to flood in here and tell you that you were wrong about him all along
He's taken United from being porous at the back and made them extremely tight defensively. The counter to that is that you're not attacking with the balls out style that United fans were so used to seeing under Ferguson, especially late on in games when the points were up for grabs. I'd imagine the next stage of his strategy would be to increase your goal return. I don't see what would be achieved by sacking him off now, he's 18 months into his tenure, he needs at least the rest of this season to continue what he's started.
This is what i have been saying for months. He has sacrificed attack for defence, which was needed somewhat, but he has overcompensated.
Sorry but that's just not true. I don't believe one is related to the other. Would you say that Capello or Ancelotti aren't defensively minded? But their football is nothing like LVG's. In defensive terms all 3 are the same, but beyond the half way line (and most definitely in counter attack), both Capello and Ancelotti understand how to get the ball forward quickly, play attacking one touch football. They don't go cumbersome, stodgy thick pea soup passes sideways and backwards ad infinitum waiting for an opening. You don't have to compromise defence to play like that, and both have shown it.
Get rid of him now, it's becoming tiresome listening to the same old excuses in each post-match interview
Javier Hernandez named Player of the Month in the Bundesliga. Scored 9 in 10 games. Ofcourse under LVG he'd have been on 0 in 6 subs appearances and it would have all been the player's fault
Surely Moyes could have achieved this level of dullness with another £200 mill though, no? Interesting to see who blinks first now and goes all out for Pep...Chelsea, Utd or City.
