That's exactly what I'm saying ya daft plug! You're not gonna change our minds <laugh>

You don't know that they have nowhere to go, that's a presumption. There's help for those who search for it.

ISIS and Al Nusra and co are not in total control. If it was that bad, NATO ground troops would be in.

I don't give a **** about the Syrians if it means that Britain & it's allies are safe. <ok>

It's the best tactic at this stage of the conflict i'm afraid. We're fighting this war to win not to tip toe around in guerrilla warfare for a couple off decades which will dwarf the casualties of a bombing campaign. Quicker it's done with the better.

There are massive legality problems which many of your alternatives which just makes them unviable imo.

Everyone is presuming everything in this entire discussion to be fair, unless any of us actually have inside knowledge that they want to enlighten us with?
I think as far as assumptions go, it's a pretty safe one to say that people who are willing to risk certain death to escape from ISIS have nowhere else to go, daft to suggest otherwise. Unless they're just adrenaline junkies and want to play with their kids lives to get their rush <laugh>

I don't think you do, mate.

Our ground troops would simply call in our allies for air support, doesn't have to be the RAF.

I'm done with this for now it just goes round in circles, incredibly frustrating for those who don't want us to drop bombs, unlucky... You should have voted for Sad Ed <ok>

Daish don't do any fatuous slow working sanctions like JC suggests - bombs & other military action must now be used together with those other sanctions - do talk and we look weak & toothless - (bit like our non clinical football team!! )

I know, thanks for your honesty and for proving my point.
FFS <laugh> Well obviously I don't want anyone dropping bombs on Syria do I, I don't give a **** if they're British, American or Russian bombs <laugh>
You may be right and I may be wrong, whether it's the best tactic is up for debate. What isn't up for debate is that it's the only tactic imo.

The legality angle is one that I understand but really everything is underpinned by money. If Saudi, Qatar etc weren't financial powerhouses the "legality" of enforcing restrictions against them would be immaterial IMO.

As for Turkey, I can't see how it can be acceptable for any nation to be allowed to buy oil from ISIS run oilfields. I just can't and anyone doing so should be instructed to stop.

Don't think there's any need for personal comments in this kind of debate tbh. If you want to be personal I'm pretty sure I can think of plenty of reasons I'd be far better in that situation than yourself <ok>

Same tbh but then I believe in free love and animals having equal rights with humans so it's hardly surprising.

By the way, 223 MP's voted against the airstrikes so it's hardly the cut and dry, clear only option that some of you are making it out to be.
