I agree with Hayden for Huddlestone or Livermore, both have been poor recently and should feel under pressure for their place. Maloney wasn't available today and it was too early to have Snoddgrass starting but I agree when either are fit they should be starting.
I know, it should have been 6 or 7, such was our superiority. We'll still finish above you, that I have no doubt about at all.
After listening to RH it seems Steve Bruce is at last going to drop his blue-eyed boys, well overdue. We all know who they are, don't we?. At least this poor form gives him chance to change things around in the January transfer window. Get rid of the dead wood Steve before they get rid of you.
They aren't far off half way through - unbeaten. They are getting points and results from losing positions, something we don't do.
Their luck will run out eventually, if they keep it up then fair play to them but I just don't see that happening.
This was an opportunity to select young Isaac hayden & Bruce kopped out and stuck with Huddlestone.. disappointing
Time to give Brownie another crack? His kind of positivity might get the players going as Bruce obviously struggles
Has kopped out on dropping Huddlestone so many times, its no surprise. He had finally finally realised he needed Meyler in there to break up the Livermore-Huddlestone axis, so big shame he got injured. But he didnt have to put Huddlestone back in!
Him and Hayden must have had a falling out as there is no logic to leaving him out for the last month, he can't possibly be that bad in training to leave him out either
We should of changed him over a year ago! Total lack of tactical knowledge for a long long time and I don't care if we have injuries because a better manager would have the players we have available playing much better football then we currently are! I guarantee that forgetting the league positions, teams like Brighton would swap our squad for there's in a flash because there manager would walk this league with the players we have available just like he did when he took Newcastle back up. It is not good enough and people need to take there Bruce tinted glasses off and see the facts!
Far too inconsistent at the moment to deserve anything. The team and the manager as just as bad. Akpom OUT.
Problem with Steve Bruce is he is excellent at giving players a lift when he first arrives at a club just like he did for us, Sunderland, Wigan etc. The problem comes when he's been at a club a while and has built a squad he wants, he then doesn't know how to motivate those players. He's an impact manager who can't cut it long term hence why it fell apart at Sunderland in the end. It's ok been everyone's mate when you first arrive at a club but when it starts going wrong and the players are looking at the manager for guidance he's clueless. What's even more disappointing is I expected more from phelen but it hasn't really made any impact at all.
Bad day at the office, I`m just hoping that Bruce is as good as his word when he says `the name on the back of the shirt means nothing`, we have underperformed ever since we lost Meyler, Livermore is a totally different animal when he isn`t playing next to Thudd, we have all discussed it to death, some see that Thudd alters the dynamics of the team, some believe he brings something, it`s all in eye of the beholder. For me it`s crying out for legs in midfield to compete, sadly love him or loathe him, Thudd doesn`t have legs to compete, in this league the battles need to be won earning the right to play, with Livermore and Meyler partnered together that is exactly what we were doing, the only way of returning to this for me is to get Hayden in for Thudd, ok when we have earned the right in games then I would be looking to bring on Thudd towards the end of games when there is space to play his kind of game (as was seen in the Middlesborough game). We have to remember that Dawson, Meyler and Hernandez are out, that is the spine of the team, and despite having a crap couple of games, we still aren`t halfway through the season, and are well placed. Keep the faith people, this rollercoaster aint finished yet, it`s the Hull City way, we never do things the easy way,
