Weird isn't it? Especially for a lower tier american team.

This isn't uncommon in america, they often give things away like this once used. Probs an astro-turf stadium so easy for them to do.

Watching videos of them they seem to play short passes building up to either long ball or a cross. Fojo the no18 is there DM

One of them videos was them beating Toronto in a preseason tournament at Walt Disney Sports centre

    Exactly my point.
I could understand us asking for proper turf but I doubt we requested it to be specially grown Bermuda grass from central Florida.

Yeah, it's basically the standard in North American during the European friendly season. They roll out sod at the Skydome in Toronto whenever they host friendlies, they did it at BMO Field for Real Madrid a couple years ago (before finally permanently laying real grass last year), Vancouver for Man City this past week, etc. Because of the weather and cost, a lot of the (american) football stadiums use field-turf -- but whenever the European clubs go over they almost always require grass be laid.

Its crazy these white elephant stadiums the US cities, especially ones like the Orange Bowl that basically exist just to host one NCAA bowl game per year, the super bowl once a decade, something like the world cup once every couple decades, then whatever little local team that could instead be playing in a park that only needs capacity for 4000 instead of 80k

yes but orlando are getting amazing crowds for USL PRO,they are getting 8000 week in week out, which is a little compared to the max 80000

8k in your first game a pro club is pretty good and they are getting more than some english leaguue 1 teams

My Dad and his American wife shall be in the crowd tonight.

She knows nothing about sports at all so my Dad has been trying to brief her on the rules of the game. She still thinks that she's going to watch an English team play 'handegg'.
