I see Huddlestone's back in his comfort zone. We need someone, other than Meyler, to challenge him. The lack of options up front just heaps pressure on Diamonde to come in and hit it off straight away. Also, if the strikers turn up and perform like how Akpom did in the match Tuesday, against Man City, then it'll turn into getting on the team's backs.
The £6.5m cost of not signing Gray which imho has strengthened Burnley. That was a huge mistake. We do have the worst forward options from the promotion contenders. Brighton had Hemed and signed Zamora and Wilson on loan.
Why is Luer not playing today? Look at the number of chances Akpom has had to prove himself and shown that he isn't tough enough yet he's still been getting game time. Compare that to Luer who has played very well in his limited appearances, scored goals and shown promise. The only difference is that one is from Arsenal and one is from Burgess Hill.
We dont even have options though. A windy injury prone Uruguayan, a sulky kid from Arsenal and thats it. Luer was never in Bruce's plans. We dont have any other forwards.
