He was ill all last week, which ruled him out of playing midweek & starting today i'm guessing.

    Just a hunch.

    Dunno what's happened to Maloney.

A winger and a central midfielder up top? That's 4-6 to me. Marginally better than 5-5 I guess

Maybe he actually means 'great' as in 'fantastic'. Amber is right we might win this game by default because they are **** anyway despite tactics or management issues

So, Huddlestone starts again. It's time to trot out Einstein's line about doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. It's a sign of insanity. Bruce you're crazy.

Baffling. But if he thinks it'll work then I'll go along with it. If it doesn't, I'd love to hear his reasoning.

So thats this game. You said time honoured 4-6.
Akpoms been shocking and was never going to start.
Hernandez is injured but would have started.
The fault lies in not signing proper CF's in the summer and prior seasons.

Or maybe not playing Luer in midweek and crocking our best striker!

Fair enough, last season's was more 5-5 so maybe not time-honoured. And it's just said on the radio that Maloney's sick, so the options are pretty limited to befair

I'll give you it. He ****ed up not signing a few proper CF's. Akpom acted and played like a **** for the last few games. Hernandez got injured Tuesday. Maloney is obviously injured. He'd rather play Aluko than Luer, thats ****ing crazy to me but he doesnt trust/rate Luer enough.

Time for somebody like Huddlestone or Aluko to win a game for us

Both very talented players who should be doing more

Can't understand the reasoning behind the line-up Bruce has selected, It is totally baffling.

Like GLP and Chazz have said, we really should have signed more strikers and it's not even just this summer. For most of the last few years we've been chronically short of strikers. We always convince ourselves it'll be OK cos Aluko can play up front (can he ****) and we've got Luer (who Bruce obviously hasn't got the balls to play) etc. Etc.

If Maloney is sick then fair enough, I assumed he would play Huddlestone in a more advanced role tactically today with no Maloney but no striker at all is a bit wack. Its as if he's gone from one extreme to the other by overloading the midfield

I've done my normal bet when playing away. I'm looking at the starting 11 and thinking I must have a tile loose. Where's the goalscorer? Please prove me wrong Brucey, I've no problem with that as long as we win.

Not playing Luer midweek was just horrendous management, the confidence and pride a young lad like Luer would have got from that game would have carried him forward, instead he played Chakpom who seems not to give a **** and got our best striker injured. Not to mention the fact that Luer played in the previous rounds so its like a slap in the face.
