Will he though? How fit will Willie have him for it? It's going to be a real slog, anything less than being proper fit will be exposed imo. And to me he's the sort of horse they'll take their time with in getting fit, the lazy bugger!
No problem Beefy! Wasn't going to mention your name! Wish you told me to wait about Simonsig , a tasty 6/1 ew ticket then some more in at 7/2 (which a place would have broken me even) that's racing! So have got my losses and waving the no bet banner this weekend! saying that I have backed PTIT ZIG @ 5/2 for the Peterborough Chase on Sunday and backed him ew @ 16/1 for the King George
Ptit Zig looks s good bet Wooly, I think Don 'the plodder' Poli will probably plod quicker than this lot but no bet for me
Last time I went to a full jump racing card at Sandown I saw Tingle Creek win the equivalent race to today's TC Chase. Crikey.......
Un Ace off top weight looked really interesting today at Aintree in one of their handicap hurdles. As for the rest, I am really hoping that JOSSES HILL can show his true ability over fences this season and in a Tingle Creek missing it's two biggest stars, he would have a real chance of jumping well. There is a big if but in the context of the field I think that is factored into his price. He has a real chasing frame and when he meets them on a good stride he looks lovely, but the problem is he didn't meet them all like that!
I'm taking a few of the fancied horses on today: 1:55 Sandown - Willows Saviour 4/1 2:15 Aintree - Menorah 11/1 3:00 Sandown - Somersby 9/1
Certainly agree there, the old boy's even better going right-handed. So, my barmy bet for today will be Somersby and Sire De Grugy, e/w on each and a R/F. Understand SDG has been showing a bit of form at home recently, after being in the doldrums for quite a while now. Good luck everyone!
I'm in the SDG camp, poor recent run but a classy horse on his day, 3/3 at sandown 6/1 is a good bet in my eyes
Clan William 1 30 W 4/1 --sue smith will have targeted this race , with 10 stone in these conditions must have a great chance- Dawson City 1 20 chep --7/1 --conditions to suit, value of the race Morning Reggie 12 30 Ain -6/1 -had a mishap last week --will relish this ground...hope for a good show from these three !..
Doubles and trebles - Don Poli, Bristol De Mai and Valbrato. Done a lucky 15 for interest on - Dawson City, Algernon Pazham, Vicenzo Mo & Restless Harry.
Afternoon troopers, today's darts Aintree 2.45 Virgilio win 9/4 3.20 Rocky Creek win 6/1 Bristol De Mai/Don Poli Double 7/2 Arsenal-1,Chelsea-1,Southampton all to win 9/2
Wow Agrapart clearly loved conditions there - talk about winning hard-held. Little dabble on Keltus in the Pertemps
There's no way I'll be backing Vibrato Valtat in the Tingle Creek! Special Tiara finished 15 lengths in front of him over C&D in April!
