He can't afford ''Genuine quality''. You know that money that goes to Florida every couple of months to pay off creditors on two bankrupt shopping centres.Well thats what you could have used to buy players.
i guess the question about utd must be taken first in light that they do look a little light in the area. My view is; 1. Utd are set up to use rooney as a free roaming second striker. this is one of thier main creative areas. 2. They have 4 top wingers. Nani, Valencia, Young and giggs (and please no giggs jokes) this is where utd will be looking for game breaking play. 3. Utd have a workmanlike midfield in carrick, fletcher, anderson and gibson. 4. if utd play a 4-3-3 giggs comes into the midfield.alongisde two of the others. 5. hernandez will play up top, if he keeps his form up as a young man, berbatov will back him up. So all in all.... its very very hard replace scholes as he had two or three key assets that are rare, he never stopped moving to be available (sounds simple eh?) he had the vision and he was a great passer. I don't think 50mil would go astray on sneijder. in the end though we don't know if utd have spent their lot or ferguson doesn't see the value. In the end they have a way of playing and the palyers to play it. they can win the elague but without that top cm the champions league is way way out of the question (TBH they got a lovely draw last year) for the record i really go see why they bought each player and think each deal is good.
Errrr.... you are telling us this because???? as if we give a shiney s****e about manures set up.For workmanlike read boring and boring.
Who else has come over here since horseface and RVP as a big money signing and flopped, I can only really think of babel.
Why be logical when you can have the preconception opposition players are likely to fail? Suarez does the business in Holland, does the business in 2 major tournaments for Uruguay, pundits and managers and players give him rave reviews, he excels himself in the games he gets in the Premier League including giving your own defence an absolute schooling... could be another Kezman though. They do after all have the fact they played in the same league several years apart as the only thing in common though It's like on the Aquilani thread where he says he didn't see much of him play for us, doesn't read papers, and doesn't watch Italian football, but is well-informed enough to rate Aquilani as a poor player! Nice of them to share their Manc wisdom
I dont watch italian football as its **** and I dont read the papers because they are full of bullshit.
So, in a way, you're conceding that you're not best placed to be labelling Aquilani one way or another? You'll have probably seen, what, highlights of a handful of games he played in for us on MotD?
Also Kezman. Although he only got one season with Chelsea, so hard to say if he'd have improved in his second season or not. Venegoor of Hesselink?
Suarez seems like a different animal to the ones that flopped. I'll tell you why, when he arrived he wasn't match sharp as he had been suspended and hadn't played in almost two months,he hadn't trained with his new team-mates...However,he was like a bull in a china shop.He was chomping at the bit.He scored after 10 minutes of him coming on as a sub. The people that know him best say that he plays the same way he trains with pure enthusiasm. He also plays with a smile on his face.He also doesn't turn up for training on time after Internationals...he turns up early. He was buzzing towards the end of the season,Kenny has said that he expects him to carry his Copa form into the premier-league.He says one way or the other on Sunday,he expects him to be buzzing.
