So much can and will change but I would imagine at this point that this season will finish with City top. Arsenal 2nd. Spurs neck and neck with Liverpool fighting for third. Leicester, Chelsea and United battling it out for Europa. Hard to really say though. Form comes and goes and injuries happen. We don't know what the xfer window may bring.
Tired of Spurs and Liverpool fighting it out for top 4 but neither ever achieving it, except for once in a blue moon. Why not all hope some club with ambition actually gets it.
United and £ity are both struggling. Arsenal have appalling injuries, and are looking dead in the water. 'Pool. whilst improving under Klipperty, are going to have their bubble burst sooner or later, and I reckon sooner. Just because the 'Pool-loving media is rubbing its collective cock that 'Pool has, at long last, managed to win a few games, doesn't mean the glory-days have returned. The two in-form sides are Spurs and Leicester. Why is it so beyond the realms of possibility that it will be these two teams fighting it out for 1st & 2nd?
Because you have to do it over a whole season. We're only a third or so of the way through. Arsenal have bottled 10 point leads from March so nobody should get carried away in early December
I can't remember any of us saying we'd overtake Arsenal. We'd say those ****s from woolwich or something similar to that.
Spurs bottled a 10 point lead over Arsenal at the end of Feb a few seasons ago and missed out of top 4 yet again. We hear the same tired old soundbites from the Spuds every year about how they are going to overtake us, and yet for the last two decades, they've ****ed it up every time
HIAG, you are naive. It's not even Christmas yet and you're suggesting that Leicester and Spurs could be battling it out for 1st and 2nd. Do you not remember a few seasons ago when Mr Orange, Phil Brown had Hull City in the top 3 right up until December ? Where did they finish that season ? Also do you not remember when Spurs had a 10 point lead over Arsenal and assumed they would get a top 4 place, right before we tonked you 5-2 after you were 0-2 up in a game that acted as the catalyst for one of the biggest bottlings your club has ever seen ?
I'm not arsed:; I think we all know that Utd will bore our way to the title. No kudos, no respect, but it's the winning that matters, isn't it?
PIXIE, so your prediction is that Spurs will never finish above Arsenal, because we always bottle it?
You can never say never, but the evidence is that Spuds have bottled finishing above Arsenal for the last two decades. That said, given Chelsea's car crash of a season. I think you and 'Pool have got a great chance for top 4 this season.
