Your "hope" that he gets the boot is all well and good but who would replace him thats guaranteed to do better, maybe Ancellotti?
There are no longer any managers that would get as much time as Fergie got to bring quality youth through the ranks and mix them with decent proven pro's, Utd's style of play might not be easy on the eye to their followers but as of now he's got them to 2nd in the league, still in Europe and with the FA Cup stll to come.
It's all about expectation and Utd's fans are delusionally high with theirs.

The problem for nouveau utd fans circa 92 onwards is they've been lucky enough to have witnessed the club's most successful era in their history, those that supported the club prior to 92 remember the club's limited successes and not always good on the eye football, apart from the Docherty and Atkinson era's their was no "Utd way", they were ordinary and in their relegation season less than ordinary.
It's taking its time to dawn on some of their supporters that the consistent glory days are over, some are living in a time warp and are struggling to accept life at Utd after Fergie.

Not bothered about the success as I grew up watching a United team that wasn't successful. I don't think we'll win anything under LVG so I would at least like to see some entertaining football, particularly given the players available. Entertaining and unsuccessful would be better than boring and unsuccessful.

Fair enough, but you know the Glazer's don't give a toss about style of play etc and they won't sack a manager that will as it looks get them into next season's CL and possibly win this season's title :emoticon-0119-puke:, so you and the other unhappy hordes better put your tin hats on and batten down the hatches.

I don't think the Glazers give a toss about winning the title. It's not worth much more than third place.

It apparently was for a banned player, from last season, Denis Cheryshev who was on loan at Villarreal at the time.

So its entirely possible Rafa just didn't know, if no one at the club could be arsed to tell him at Cheryshev couldn't play. You do have to question all the staff who were at the the club prior to Rafa, when they saw the team sheet why they didn't mention it.

Not this again. He made United look like buffoons so they're going to underestimate him for all eternity malarkey.

This is not a Liverpool/United thing, most supporters of other teams have the same opinion of him and treat him as a joke.

Chelsea fans shared your opinion and he still rescued their crappy season and win them silverware.

Real Madrid doesn't hire buffoons as a rule.

It is a United thing though... United fans are the only ones who still whine about Rafa night and day whenever his name comes up. Rafa is the super wum.

A decade later almost and Manchester are still in tears over him and obsessing over him.

Blockhead is doing exactly as tasked, he said he was retiring in 3 years and so was asked to build a squad capable of competing on all fronts. So far it looks like he will achieve that.

Competing for what exactly? Because you certainly aren't competing for any trophies, you might get the worst team to watch award but that's about it.

He is out best manager in 20 years. Understandable the fans appreciate him. Hero worship? Wouldn't say that. Whenever he is in the news you can bet United will flock to the board with their 2 cents... They usually beat the Liverpool fans to break the news.

That's only true for Rafa... No other manager. He wound you lot up like a pro.
