Colin said before yesterday's fantastic football match that JFH would take training in the morning.

Sheer madness replacing Warnock at this stage IMO. You finally get a team not shipping two goals a game, playing some football, with a bit of understanding of each other, a desire to actually play for the club, and not to mention actually getting results... and then after a few games you push out the bloke that delivered the change and who has the best track record of promotions in the country. I'm normally an advocate of TF but if it transpires that Warnock would have been happy to see out the season then my view of the man will take a serious nosedive.

Just watched his firs tinteview on player and he comes across well, confident.I like the fact that when asked about his time at Chelsea he said 'that was in the past, I enjoyed my time there but I'm in a different career now I'm not a player'.

I will give JFH my 100% backing and hope that he is just given the right amount of time to get it right.

Always wanted a younger keen manager, now I have one I feel a little nervous and wonder if it's the right choice. Funny old things emotions.

New manager as always 100% backing and lets see where he can take us.

I'm right behind the appointment of JFH and am so happy he's joined us. Anyone who wanted a change of manager surely has to be pleased at the appointment of Jimmy considering he led Burton to more wins during 2015 than any other English league team. That stat alone puts him near the top of any shortlist. Warnock didn't want the job and I didn't see the logic in keeping him to the end of the season even if he had wanted it. Let this young, hungry manager take over the reigns and see what happens. Warnock has gone and we will never know if he would have led us to promotion just like we don't know if he would have kept us up in the prem before being sacked. Let's all get behind Jimmy

    Am I missing something here?

We've just sacked Chris Ramsey. A man you had never managed a team before and was gifted a premier league side for his managerial debut.

He failed miserably, not to keep us in the premiership, that was almost impossible from when he was installed, but to make any kind of affect on the championship. Clearly, his failure was due to his total lack of experience in management which was made obvious by how Colin managed to regroup the same squad of players in the last 4 or five games.

So what do we do? Instead of employing a seasoned and experienced campaigner we appoint another bloke who's never managed a side above Div 4.

    I have understood this correctly haven't I?

Not quite as Burton are in the equivalent of Division 3, just as we are in the 2nd Division........

Plus it didn't help that TF moved the goalposts in October from consolidation to promotion.......other than that you've sort of got it......

I really can't understand why any may be confused or even dissapointed by JFH'S appointment. The most inform manager in England this year?! Those mentioning the need for an experienced man or someone who has managed at a higher level need look no further than the harry or Hughes eras. It all boils down to opinions regardless of league level. Could a mourinho or van gall do as well with a league 2 club without billions to spend?? How does someone become good enough without starting at the bottom?? If jimmy had a shocking record then I could understand people's views.

The reason I'm not as delighted as some is that I keep believing the myth that our board have aspirations for a quick return to the premiership. This is usually achieved by building a team, including the management, that know what they're doing. JFH may be the man, who knows, he has no track record at this level. Ramsey certainly wasn't despite our boards faith in him by making his appointment permanent back in August.

My beef is why do we keep having to be the guinea pig for inexperienced managers when our aspirations are supposedly so high.

As for being "the most inform manager in England" I think you're stretching it a bit. If all levels of football are to be included then the bloke who manages our Sunday league team also qualifies.

The guinea pig for inexperienced managers is stretching it a bit. Warnock, Hughes, redknapp and ramsay. 3 of them aren't inexperienced.

I think he'll need the rest of this season to get into job what with all the increased pressures and expectations.

I hope he cracks it and I shall be happy to back peddle and concede you lot were right.
