Yoshida can play left and right back. Usually those type of players can do a job at left and right mid too. Most Cb's could probably to a job at DM or centre forward. I reckon he'd be better. But I understand your thinking and opinions. Van Dijk is also great on the ball. It's a tough call.
Ron has 2 options, same team with you broke now fix it ringing in their ears, or give a chance to a couple of youth players push the senior players. Could give a shout for playing Reed, Seager and Hesketh playing in that problem creative role
Clasie/JWP/Romeu? If Clasie is a slow burner and the game practice is going to get him to a level beyond the other two I would say start him. But I don't know if I'm convinced.
I'm not that worried. Yoshida would be a decent replacement. He should have played against Liverpool. I have a feeling that we'll win with Fonte or Yoshida at centre back with Van Dijk. I'd obviously prefer Fonte as he's also the captain.
And that has been posted up by Saints as well....so obviously the official position. Wait for the papers to say that Mane is available for over 100 million. Pity RK didn't say not in the summer either, but we can't have everything.
I don't think Wanyama is irreplaceable to be honest. He's been off the pace numerous times this season - Morgan made him look a lot better last season, and he hasn't stepped up as much as I thoughthe would. I'd be surprised if anyone would pay the fee that we would want.
I expect them to be gone as well...be nice if they said no to Mane as he still has a couple of years left, but I don't think that is our style. Saints won't sell at the wrong time, but with a years notice I expect them to let him go and be replaced by someone who wants to be here. In defence of Mane, it does seem he asked and settled down when told no...he was held up by Ron (together with Morgan) as an example for Wanyama.
I imagine that Mane will go in the summer. I imagine there will be 25 million+ bids for him for top clubs. There will probably demand for Mane in the summer, or even January, than there ever was for any of the others that have gone. I hope not, but he might even go in January if a club go bananas and bids 30-35 million+. Perhaps we would refuse 30 million. But I'm not sure we would turn down 35 million+ despite what Koeman has said.
