Haha like I say people see things differently, I respect anybody who has a proper opinion about players and contributes something. I just got that impression about Maloney but wouldn't stand up for that opinion like I did when people were after Harry Maguire the other week on here as I haven't seen enough of Maloney
I am positive you are a bit soft. Our fans shouldn't criticise others for doing what ours are even worse for.
Huddlestone gets stupid yellow cards or gets sent off when he does bother to get stuck in. And I'm not that convinced about him doing quick short defence splitting passes either, he is slow and any decent team expects the long pass to Elmo because that's all he mainly does.
I was watching last weekend's MOTD2 this morning before work and they did an analysis of Emre Can for Liverpool who was doing exactly what Huddlestone does. They showed why passing ability means very little if you're only ever receiving the ball by dropping between the centre backs.
Thats how I see it, also passes from deep tend to be telegraphed in general so although they look beautiful the oppos defence can react. Beckham was guilty of this a fair bit, picking up the ball in that position and pinging wonderful looking passes from deep which were actually as effective as a chocolate teapot in reality
I'm not really convinced either to be honest. If Maloney starts up top as some are suggesting then we might have a good look at him (Hudds) in a more advanced role
The way Akpom is talking in that Mail interview it's as if he's thinking he's going to play too which will have an effect of how the team is set-up, fingers crossed he doesn't play. I'm not sharing the optimism much at the moment as it seems Bruce is making mistakes constantly which affect the balance of the team and now Hernandez is injured
That Beckham, he was REALLY **** wasn't he? The useless twat conned his way to 115 England caps, played for, and won League titles at, the biggest and most successful clubs in Europe, scored in three World Cups and somehow, fluked more worldwide awards than you can shake a stick at, tt amazes me how so many club and England managers didn't suss him as well as you have!
Even the best players have their flaws, and it's up to internet warriors like me to point them out! Beckham is a great no doubt at all but he did showboat a little bit, probably because he could- Ferguson didnt plant a boot on his head for no reason
Actually that's a point, he's due a suspension to get Christmas off. Has he had any yellows this season and can get to 5 before Boxing Day or will it have to be a straight red? And if so when - at Rotherham? I'm going to keep an eye on this...
