He may well be and you might not agree with anything he says or does but that wasn't my point.

Whys he a **** anyway? Those pesky free prescriptions and 3rd level education.

Those pesky prescriptions were only charged to those who could afford them

    £350m underspend, moans about austerity.

Decried the government for not doing enough to save the steel plants, places biggest steel order in generations to Chinese firm to build new Forth crossing.

Yes, like @Ciaran says, a real 'conviction' politician.

Salmond just says what is universally popular because it suits his agenda, once he ever gets real power, then you'll see him change his spots then. He's got enough power now to changes the things he doesn't like in Scotland but all they do is find fault in other things so they can criticise WestMONSTER.

    Guy's a throbber.

Prior to universal free prescriptions only about 15% were paid for.

They still have the checklist for reasons for not paying on the prescription so I'd not be surprised if, after Scottish election, we start paying for them again

How many hospitals were shut down in Scotland again for the super southern general that's been renamed after the Queen?

He's just like the rest of them

My nearest A&E dept is Paisley, a round trip of about 50 miles.

If you want to live in the country you are going to have to travel further for services.

50 ****ing miles though, ****s in Coatbridge were moaning that they had a 12 mile round trip because of the closure of their A&E unit. Besides, it's not as if I live in the boondocks, we have electricity and everything.
