When you cough up you will get an email like this one a day or two later (at least this is what I got): Hello [real name] In order to get funds to our Crowdfunding Page owners as quickly as possible, we are now processing pledges - that means taking the payment from a donor's account - at the time when the pledge is made, rather than at the end of their 30 days of crowdfunding. As you recently pledged £xx.xx to Not 606 SAFC fans on 29/11/2015 we wanted to let you know that we will now be processing your pledge tomorrow. We'll still keep you updated with news about how Not 606 SAFC fans is getting on, and if you have any questions at all please email [email protected]. Many thanks, The JustGiving Crowdfunding Team
That's odd, last time I checked it was £270... wtf has happened to the fund? I've not been giving this much attention, will get on it asap.
My £30 didn't go through TJ. The missus is sorting it out today. Probably bought too many shoes again this month.
So it's your fault? FFS. I spoke to a guy called Colin on @Minxy's suggestion of helping poor kids, he's gonna call me back later and offer me some suggestions... hopefully we'll identify a worthy little scamp to dump this cash on in the next few days
So, the missus has sent the shoes back She's re-done the pledge (better check she hasn't stitched me up even more), so it should go back up again. She also said she thought a few hadn't gone through, which is I guess, stating the bleeding obvious. So if anyone doesn't see their name in the pledge column they should re-check their account. That's a good idea TJ, putting a smile on a kid's face at Christmas.
I had the same problem mate and got an email of them this morning saying they were unable to take the payment? there's funds in there so not sure why but will try again.
Seems it's happened to a few of you, maybe they had a bit of a **** the bed situ with the computers over there.
My wife's re-submitted the pledge. If the first one still goes through... . It might be me getting a donation back
****s me off most of the time mate, it's my one big gripe about this place, ****ing useless internet. I'm working for the largest oil company in the world but their systems are so antiquated. FFS spend some money ya tight yanky twats. Anyway, rant over, re submitted my donation, fingers crossed.
All this posting and surfing the interweb mate, it's a drain on productivity... get your dungarees on and get back on the drill, no time for jibbajabba.
Back over the £250 target again. I dunno. Up down, up down. It's like watching Sunderland about ten years ago...
Righty then, spoke to a lovely lady at Wearside Women In Need (she asked why the Manc had been allocated the job of finding a beneficiary in the Sunderland area ). At first I thought it was a corporate charity, but turns out they're involved in an amazing project, literally. So at Christmas time, there's always a load more kids who seek help and shelter there due to abusive partners, one kid last year was smashed to **** by his dad because his dad caught him playing with a Barbie doll FFS. So several people gather toys for the kids at Xmas, maybe a few bits for the mums/single girls as well, so I thought that makes a direct difference to some kids or mums at Christmas who are scared and vulnerable. Rather than sending money, we could either order bits for them, you can send anything, she's told me items that help the kids and mums settle are just as important as gifts, such as pyjamas, bubble bath, that sort of thing. Other people send toys, or perfume for the ladies, other people send food to put towards their Xmas dinner. Or we could give the money to the lady on the phone, let her get the stuff she thinks they'll need most and that way we know none of it will be wasted. Can anybody please pipe up who thinks this is not a worthwhile cause, let's give it 24-48 hours for people to have their say and if not, this should be the one for us. I've tried hard to find soldiers or individuals in need and data protection/confidentiality cans that idea from the off, we have no chance without being out there on the street physically looking, baggsy not me doing that.
As long as you're happy that this lady is legit TJ you've got my vote. Sounds like a real worthy cause. Nice one Terry Can we set a few quid aside, or have another whip round to pay for someone to give that bloke you mentioned a bloody good kicking?
