I have read this all over the place and that this has been on the cards for a while....unfortunetely the longer it drags on for, the more damage will be done to this season, regardless of how much money this "Russian" has.
Could it be that Mittal is Russian or maybe he's bought shares in the Russian Federation... or there's a Russian who's married a Mittal and is taking up Hindu citizenship and thinks QPR is part of the deal? Oh, I don't know. I'm confused. Just happy in my comfort zone deploring them Goons. I'll miss 'em when they're gone. Not.
It's all bollocks to me. Indians all summer, Arabs a couple of weeks ago and now Russians. Berlieve it when I see it unfortunately.
It makes sense that the Goons want out of the club and will take the Tarbs sale monies with them - what doesn't seem quite right is why an Indian industrialist that is worth £22billion wants to come and work at QPR for some Russian oligarch. Of course, it could be that it's a joint purchase, and the Russian has agreed that the executives will be Bhatia and Saksena again...we can only hope
The link seems to be Arcelor Mittal which the Russian is a board member of. Would suggest there's a consortium with the Russians happy to let the Mittals run the club. Sounds too good to be true!
A potential take-over would explain the fact that; a) We aren't spending ANY money - when was the last time a team promoted to the Premiership as Champions acted like a money squeezed Championship side b) We have not heard a jot about our new shirt sponsors - We are now in the Premiership! They should be queuing up and there has been NOTHING about this One way or another we need to know VERY VERY soon.
A potential take over makes sense on every level, what with there being no shirt sponsor and no money being spent etc etc. The problem is we've all heard this too many times and no-one will believe it unless/until it happens!! (PLEASE GOD!!!!).
i wonder whether Flav would (as is his right) sell to the Russians just to spite the Mittals? I think that there is too much going on behind the scenes that us as fans won't get to hear about until the papers are signed.
He did indeed, and he said one richer than Roman too. To be honest I'm not holding my breath on this though (...although I am keeping my fingers crossed, if you'll allow to mix my metaphors).
It would make sense if there is a connection between the Russian and the Mittals lets hope its true and they immediatly give Neil the backing he has not had so far.
