You are mad. You're looking for a conspiracy.

My verdict is that Neil usually tries to do his best job and keeps his head down so that no one can blame him at the end of the day. He knows that all the fans and media can see that the owners aren't providing him with money. If we are relegated, he won't be the one blamed.

I think he has looked at the facts as they appear to be and reached a conclusion. I think he is 100% wrong, but surely he is entitled to state an opinion.

On the plus side, it does make some of my thoughts appear well reasoned!

I agree, Rollercoaster. Refreshing to have a different opinion, even if it is completely wrong. Think I'll start a threat tomorrow entitled "Shaun Derry is a lazy s*d. Discuss".

Yes this is a tad mischievous but in my defence I did couch this in terms of a question rather than a statement of fact. And I did say that NW has time to correct the misconception (either the cavalry arrives in terms of new owners as he preumably hopes or he quits if there is no change). If anyone is out of order Northolt it is yourself for threatening to delete a strand you personally did not agree with. If this was the News of the World serious questions would be being asked about editorial practices.

From my perspective Warnock has the best view of all about what's going on and must understand the fan's frustration. Lord knows the rest of the football community recognizes the goings on at LR are pretty strange to say the least. And yet all we get from him indicates he is not unhappy with the situation and is relishing the challenge. Again, if this was the NOTW questions would be being asked in Parliament about how much he colluded with those in charge. Now don't start all that nonsense again...

(Possibly stupid) question: why is our Neil considered to be in the twilight of his career? I've read this elsewhere (aside from in QPAAAAGH's initial post), but I don't get it. He's around 63 and clearly full of enthusiasm and passion for the game. He's not in a wheelchair. Not going senile. Has he suggested he wants to sod off on retirement one of these days??

btw, disagree that he's in cahoots in any way for a cheap payday. but i don't mind conspiracy theories - history repeatedly shows they exist!

He says this is his last job before retiring. Possibly one of the reasons why he won't quit. I think it must be said again and maybe this ties in with QPAAA's theory:

Most managers would have quit in disgust under similar circumstances. Now I know he could be playing it smart and waiting for the low-life's to push him but any manager with real class and pedigree about them would have been gone by now.

And if we're completely honest with ourselves, how many of us thought COLIN had those characteristics before he joined us??
