I suppose if you're negotiating high sums between millionaire players and billionaire owners, you expect a fair old whack for No. 1. It's still money going out of the game though.
That's quite a reduction on our part. Last season we spent £5,276,674 on agents. £4,640,227 the season before. Is that a good thing or a bad thing? Could it be preventing us landing targets?
Do agents take a cut of the selling fee for outgoing players as well? Might explain some of it? Just a thought.
It's a percentage of the fee from the buying club I do believe. Then in addition they take a percentage of the contract value from their client.
